Coaches rarely change their spots they might get more experienced rarely change two classic cases and both were fine coaches Warren Ryan and Brian Smith. For a few weeks during Origin it might work but for the entire year? I doubt it. But he might have learned from past mistakes. We will see soon enough.
Broncos and McGuire will do well this year just way too much talent and their fitness levels will probably be in the top 4 with Canterbury, Penrith and Souths. Next year is when the gloss wears off McGuire like it did on Walters.Watching the Tiger doco. Maguire comes across not very well. I think you might be right. That type for shit grows old on professionals after a while. I don’t think the likes of Walsh will put up long term
No Melbourne in the top 4? I said Top 4 for fittest teams - Canterbury are first by a long way now Gus has them training 5-6 days a week followed by Broncos, Panthers and Rabbitohs. No Melbourne in the top 4? I think Melbourne, Penrith, Manly are going to be very hard to beat.
NQ have really flown under the radar this off season. If the Dolphins don't make it. I don't think Souths or Bulldogs will be in the top 4. I think at least one of the QLD clubs will make it. Maybe even 2 along with Melbourne and Penrith.
Canterbury are the fittest team? How do you decide that?I said Top 4 for fittest teams - Canterbury are first by a long way now Gus has them training 5-6 days a week followed by Broncos, Panthers and Rabbitohs.
I do believe them 4 plus Melbourne, Cronulla and Manly make up the Top 7 and a gap to see who gets 8th.
Absolutely they're the fittest and with a second season of heavy training under their belt will go to a new level. No team trains harder or longer than Canterbury and they're my smokey to win the premiership. As long as Gus backs in Sexton they'll be there in the preliminary final and I expect Canterbury to be the team to end Penrith's dynasty in the semi finals this year like they were the club to end St George's dynasty many decades ago and stopped Parramatta getting four in a row. Whether the Bulldogs can beat Melbourne or Brisbane is another matter.Canterbury are the fittest team? How do you decide that?
You're a big fan but I think you need to be realistic.Absolutely they're the fittest and with a second season of heavy training under their belt will go to a new level. The top 7 in terms of the ladder since many have misunderstood ladder to fitness is already a lock. There's 10 teams battling for 8th spot and 7 sides being in alpha order Brisbane, Canterbury, Cronulla, Manly, Melbourne, Penrith and Souths locks for the top 8.
Canterbury have a crazy soft draw for their first 19 games and play teams at the perfect times. The crunch will be Gould must back in Sexton if he doesn't it could cause some issues as Woods isn't NRL ready. They showed in 2024 how quickly they went from unit to super fit where the players they had bought into the systems Gould put into place and weeded out players who refused to buy into hard work. One positive Woolf has done is weed out three players who didn't want to do the hard yards and this will fire up a rocket to others who cruised along. With the exception of Kurt Mann it's a very young side and all under the age of 30 and Penrith have largely been a youngish side during their era of success. You're a big fan but I think you need to be realistic.
They might make the 8 but I think next to no chance of winning the premiership. And no way for you or anyone else to know if they are especially fit compared to any other team let alone every other team.
lol who really gives rats bout everyone we just need worry bout us and only usCanterbury have a crazy soft draw for their first 19 games and play teams at the perfect times. Canterbury is an absolute lock for the top 4 due to their draw and their one of the 7 sides already locked into the top 8 for this year. I have this feeling the Bulldogs will finish Penrith off in the semis whether they can beat Melbourne or Brisbane is another matter. Penrith will miss Luai more than they think they will this one will be the loss that finally gets them.
