We let them be with all our drop ball and, Cheap penalties.

Few points

Averillo won’t be 5/8th. Kodi will.

Donga isn’t a 9. If he wants to be anywhere near first grade, he has to learn to stop the errors and penalties.

Kerr is not a first grader.

Bostock isn’t a Center.
That is surely Donga's last chance at 9. It's just not his spot. Woolf needs to accept it as Bennett did eventually.

The forwards got trampled on again. That will still be a major issue with this club. Bromwich looks totally unfit. What happened to Saifiti? He had a short, uninspiring stint and wasn't spotted again.
Saifiti did his hammy. He and Bostock unlikely to be available for Round 1.

Didn't know he was fast enough to do a hammy. But until Flegler is back, front row is the last position we can afford to lose a player in. Kenny B needs to see out his career in QLD Cup.

It was just a trial. The most important thing is not winning. But yeah, when Keeley is back I've got Kenny B behind him and Stone let along Finefuaki and Lemuelu. I've also got Rasmussen ahead of him as well but he's not available until I think round 6.

Plath will play ok wherever he is picked but definitely better as a middle forward than an edge forward. Bostock wasn't playing well when he went off. Too early to think about dropping him yet but he has competition for his spot.

Bostock was picked in the centers, so I won't go in on him for that. Thats on KW

TBH, Bostock looks like he might have lost a bit of weight.

Anyway, it's good to have depth. If he isn't playing well, he'll be dropped. Simple as that.

Yesterday was especially disappointing for 2 257Matt. Bulldogs I think were playing their best 17 or close to it but were well off the pace. Bulldogs won't make the top 8 this year.

New wooden spoon favourites? I think the Tigers are going to be better this year and Dragons were very impressive in their trials.

RECRUIT WATCH

The Dolphins lacked energy in midfield and their collective performance was compounded by the early loss of Saifiti.
Signed from the Knights to replace Jesse Browmich, the NSW Origin prop managed just two hit-ups before limping from the field.
New teammate Kulikefu Finefeuiaki, signed from the Cowboys, showed explosive promise on the edges and produced a stinging shot on Josiah Pahulu just before halftime.

FINAL SAY

The Dolphins are clearly missing the presence of injured enforcer Tom Flegler. They must get their scrumbase locked in, with boom halfback Isaiya Katoa kept quiet as Kodi Nikorima and Jake Averillo shared five-eighth duties.

Good test for them against the team I have as premiership favourites. Madge had a closed to media training session last week this shows how serious and up for the challenge the Broncos were.

Dolphins need to regenerate their squad the forward pack got manhandled by Titans and the leg drive is horrendously slow. My fears about the age of the forwards came to light and this is something Woolf needs to have to courage to fix and blood the new players or Dolphins will be in spoon territory.

Bennett is good for two ambushes a year and you know Round 1 will be one of them through all the gloom of the last week for Souths he's now forced into using his best fullback at fullback and has to use Humphreys at halfback.
