That lad from the Capra's who played in the pre season against the titans could have had a development contract. Can't remember his name. Second row. Lachlan or similar

Are you sure you're thinking of Lemuelu?

Did you see your second favourite teams coach came out and said during the week they are going to make the finals this year? Things have really gone pear-shaped for us over the last 4 or 5 weeks but remember, we were expected to be going about as good as Wests Tigers are at present.

The way they are going, Wallace could get one more year but not Bromwich.

Dolphins emerge as favourites to sign talented brothers in huge blow for Tigers

In another blow to the embattled Tigers, the Dolphins have emerged as the new favourites to sign brilliant young Manly brothers Latu and Samuela Fainu. The pair, currently at Manly, are regarded among the hottest young properties in rugby league. But in the wake of the Tigers' dismal showings in recent weeks, the pair are now leaning towards the Dolphins, according to a source close to the brothers.

Broncos bombshell as Payne Haas hits open market, big-money scramble imminent

Powerhouse Payne Haas has dropped a bombshell on the Broncos with the star to create a big-money scramble by heading to the open market.

Brisbane powerhouse Payne Haas has dropped a bombshell on the Broncos with his management confirming he will launch a multi-million dollar scramble for his services by heading to the open market on November 1.

Haas, who missed NSW’s win over Queensland on Wednesday night with an ankle injury, is regarded as the No.1 forward in the game and is bound to have no shortage of suitors in rugby league and rugby union.

The Bulldogs, Brisbane’s opponent on Saturday afternoon, are expected to be at the front of the queue as they look to supercharge their rebuild under head of football Phil Gould.

Lets get it done! Sorry for the Broncos but they behaved very badly by blocking players from coming to us. This will be payback.

Some club is gonna pay 1-1.2 mill minimum for him on a long term deal, do you really want it to be us? Not sure if an elite front rower is what we really need - we got Flegler coming, plus Wayne is awesome at getting value out undervalued props.

We really need another quality playmaker, and after this, a strike 2nd rower - aka Fifita - who is available now. For 1/3-1/2 price we could also pickup a top notch winger/centre whom we need bigtime to replace Niu, challenge Averillo and generally create some depth here where we are lacking bad too.

Not really. Prefer Luke Thompson for around 750k. But Benny was apparently offering Wighton about 900k! Club must have a lot of spare salary cap room to pay overs for a couple of players.

We had a 2.1 million deficit in this season's cap before the mid-season signings. We were so far behind the comp leaders for this season's cap.

The fact we have gotten this far with this is crazy, particularly when you compare actual cap vs. Roosters/Souths/Storm 'real' cap.

I was surprised Wayne didn't make a play at Lodge who was released from the Roosters recently from a 300k/year deal, to play with Manly for a 'train and trial' deal. If anyone can get Lodge playing well it's Bennett - and for almost minimum wage it would've been worth the gamble.

I think Lodge's problem isn't what he does on the field. Every club he has been at since Wayne left the Broncos has gone downhill very rapidly and every club since then has released him early from his contract.

TBH, I think Melbourne are legit theses days as far as the salary cap goes. The biggest issue I have with Bellamy is the wrestle-mania moves that have maimed so many players.

Souths and Roosters make a mockery of the salary cap.

Very true, at the Broncos under Wayne he was one of the best props in the game for a while there, but also likely part of whatever toxic culture took over the club too.
