Nice place to visit. Have strolled through Parliament House a couple of times. It's frigid climate and proximity to the coastline is a big negative for me.
Canberra has very distinct summer, autumn, winter and spring seasons.

I don't care about it being away from the coast. The main issue with Canberra I find is whilst the roads in Canberra are very good the roads out of Canberra are shocking the only exception being the Goulburn to Canberra motorway (Federal) that's a breeze with Lake George filled up too.

I heard from a few people it was just a very, very boring place but as I said, never been there personally.

Canberra is different and depends on your tastes. I love walking around Lake Burley Griffin and there's a lot of sight seeing style of attractions more so than say theme parks or beaches. Canberra is a well laid out city bar all the access roads out of Canberra bar Federal Hwy (Goulburn link). I like Canberra because it's different whereas much of the coastal towns are 80% the same with a 20% difference. Canberra is so different to every other place it's the only major city that's inland and it's four times the population of Toowoomba (2nd biggest) so not a small outback town. Could I stay there for a week no, but is it a place I go to on many occasions absolutely because it's a different world.

I sometimes have lunch at Raiders Gungalin. More often I go to Raiders Belconnen and Raiders Queanbeyan.

TEENAGER INKS DEAL WITH DOLPHINS

The Dolphins continue to play the long game, beating a host of clubs to sign a classy edge forward fresh out of school.

Cruz Molo, a long-striding 18-year-old who played for Queensland at junior level, will join the Redcliffe academy and progress towards a top 30 spot in coming seasons.

The youngster from well-known league nursery Wavell State High School in Brisbane has a great motor and training with the big boys over the summer will only improve his value to the club.

Molo can break the line but is also a punishing defender - one to jot down in the little books!
