Bigger than Reuban Cotter but yeah, on the small side for a prop. There is a theory the trajectory of the game suits smaller props much more than it used to.
Penriths two props (until this year) are each only a bit over 100kg.

I wonder what his plans for 5/8 are. I have no issue with Kodi playing 5/8 but he's not getting any younger. Averillo might turn out to be a very good 5/8 but that remains to be seen

Karl who?

Dolphins don't need to rush the signing either as he's not ready for NRL return just yet, Bulldogs are still paying his salary and Dolphins can hold out for a better in Bulldogs contributing his salary over the next 2 years as they're desperate to clear up a spot to get the Titans prop.

I think the reason they are considering letting him go is that they need to clear salary cap space. They outbid every other club for several players. Now they are paying for it.

Knowles is a solid player and if he can be kept happy (not the usual oh i miss the pissing rain and my family story) then he could be signed on for a good stint. Guys like Herbie will be key as he can talk his unintelligible northern lingo to him and make him feel at home.

for sure hence my comment above they got let guys go and hes higher end of the players they need let go they will just release guys instead of going 50 /50 with clubs , they need find upwards of 2.2 mil and 4 guys would need go karl be one of the higher paid of those guys no way they be wanting him in reserve grade so guess we just watch this space

Bulldogs are fine with salary cap. They have all 30 spots filled and all their development spots filled. Gus needs to clear the decks as he has another player coming.

Herbie can get paid extra not under the cap for translation work.

I'm liking the sound of him. Sounds like a perfect lock. So is Gilbert going to become a prop?

Bulldogs don't have a cap issue. They have a numbers allocation issue.

Gus has the Bulldogs well under the salary cap in terms of monetary this is why Gus is no.1.

The only problem is that Gus has signed too many players and the NRL only allow a maximum of 30 in the top 30 and the development cap you're pretty much only allowed 6 players due to how the 3k per game allowance works. This is the only reason Gus has shredded players again showcasing Gus is no.1

I very much doubt that. They out bid the highly sought after Kikau, Mahony, Burton, Crighton, JAC. 5 big name recruits.
