Please don't tell me he is trying to say Katoa has just come about now.Katoa hasn't emerged. Just doing what has been predicted for the past few years.
No I meant emerged as in gone to the next level as a player. I probably used the wrong word. Please don't tell me he is trying to say Katoa has just come about now.
FFS, you could see his talent a mile away, and I am sure Penrith only let him go because they had Cleary and Luai at the time, who they thought would be a pairing for 10 years.
You could see his ball playing from a young age, and how he makes defenses second guess and not come up too quickly on him. When they come up quickly he has a great variety of double pumps, tempo shifts, and a step to put them on their backs.
The only this lacking for him was the confidence that he was a first grader.
If you watch the Dragons game closely, when he kicks the 40/20. The camera pans to his face, and he sticks his tongue out. He knows he is fucking good. Its clicked for him mentally. Watch him sky rocket from here.
You think this fella is good. I'm telling you he has another level.
I've worked in youth development in Soccer. Every kid i have trained, I tell them got out there believing you're the best player on the pitch. Have that confidence, you've done the work. because if they don't, they've lost before a ball been kicked. And I am big on reading signs in kids.
Katoa needed to know he was at home in first grade, and that he can lead the veterans around the park. That tongue out showed me he now knows, and he is going to explode from here.
Is this the same Woolf you were calling to be sacked, and the same Molo you said a poor signing. Why don’t you go back to trying to suck yourself off while thinking of GusAt 0-4 they looked so off the pace with fitness, energy, speed of play, intensity & appeared to lack a soul about them. To make the finals they will need a lot of luck which they've had zero so far this year. Full credit to Woolf for the 6-3 run since with nothing going their way. They need to keep it going and not drop off like they’ve done last two years. With the injury toll someone who yet to make the next step needs to really step up.
Positives the emergence of Katoa, Donoghoe & Keeley. The improvements of Averillo, Kerr & Lemuelu. Another positive been the signing of Molo and also how well Graham went in his 3 games after a horror 2024.
I think understrength Dolphins and full strength Bulldogs will be a good game. But I think even without 3 SOO forwards and our best from last year, we will have just as much firepower in the forwards, a slight edge with Herbie and Bostock against Crighton and Kiraz but a much better spine. Is this the same Woolf you were calling to be sacked, and the same Molo you said a poor signing. and same guy that thinks our players are past resigning again, and only praises players he cares for probbaly still belives theres bennett curseIs this the same Woolf you were calling to be sacked, and the same Molo you said a poor signing. Depends how much under-strength. What we know for a fact is that under-strength are no match at all for under-strength Dolphins.I think understrength Dolphins and full strength Bulldogs will be a good game. Then next year with those 4 back, we will put 50 on the Dogs.
As a Bulldogs fan one thing I didn't cop from our other fans were all the excuses for outs and using players like Tuala and Todd as absentees that's like Dolphins fans using Bromwich, Sua, Walsh and Jackson who were all unavailable that weekend - none of them make the top 17. Dolphins had 7 serious outs that night 5 starting forwards, starting fullback and backup fullback. Gus Gould at the AGM in February boasted how the Bulldogs have 40 players of NRL standard and how they thrive on the next man up mentality. They got hit with some adversity against Dolphins and didn't handle it well more so with Dolphins 3rd choice fullback being rejected at Bulldogs for Hayze Perham.....Depends how much under-strength. Gus could sell ice to eskimos he plays by his rules which aint nrl rules seen it , time after time wouldnt listen to anything gus says hes brought a team, be intresting how many actually stick aroundAs a Bulldogs fan one thing I didn't cop from our other fans were all the excuses for outs and using players like Tuala and Todd as absentees that's like Dolphins fans using Bromwich, Sua, Walsh and Jackson who were all unavailable that weekend - none of them make the top 17. Whilst I do think Bulldogs are the team most likely to win the premiership this year there's only 2 sides that worry me with their style of game, neither of them are in the top 4, according to betting markets those 2 sides likely to play week 1 of the finals and history does show to win the premiership you need to finish top 4 the only side to win the premiership since the top 8 format started in 1995 was Terry Lamb's Bulldogs in 1995 but we were so helped by the finals scheduling of being able to park ourselves at the SFS for the entire four weeks these days we cop a lot of travel.
