More importantly, next year. What a situation to be in. FIVE high quality locks. Not in any particular order:

• Donoghue
• Knowles
• Plath
• Gilbert
• Stone

For attack, Donoghue is the best. For defence, Gilbert. As a combination of the two, Plath. No one is tougher than Stone. I don't know about Knowles, only that the coach rates him highly.

Plath started this year in the second, he and the team struggled badly. As soon as he moved back to lock, he and the team improved dramatically.

Gilbert was captain. Personally I think Herbie should be. He mustn't be much of a talker otherwise he'd already be captain.

At Dolphins he’s in a lot of photos with other players in social circles. I think it’s more he’s not a rockstar type personality. Herbie is a down to earth sort of person.

I'm not sure Gilbert is the best defender out of them. He's best if someone runs at him but he's not better than any of them being in position to make a tackle. His lateral movement seems slower as was on display when he did his pec this year.

would worry bout it to much dont think theres to many players that are locks that could do the same looking at stats of the locks this season he was making a heck lot more on average with 10 games than lot did full seson

best lock made a average of 40 his about 38 where most locks are kurt max n ray played more games n was well lower
