Donga has had a huge season so far. You were right about him in the off season. But the way you gush over while very harshly criticising a lot of others isn't great, IMO. But yeah, if Donga were eligible for QLD in Origin he'd be right in contention for a bench utility spot. Might be for NSW as well though Connor Watson is a better hooker than Donga so that counts against him.

Donga has come good. But fuck me if he is gloating over it. At the start of the season he had errors in his game like a mofo. Whilst he has reduced those errors, I am still of the belief he will play 14. I wouldn't be starting him at 6. He seems perfect for lock, however when we get everyone back from injury where does that leave him? Maybe he beats those returning to the 13 spot. And he isn't a hooker. His service and artistry out of dumby half isnt there.

I think, what you're seeing is that he has found his spot, at 13. And his experience at 6 means his ball playing is a benefit at 13 for the modern game. 13's need to be a second 6 with size and defensive ability.

To start the season he wasn't playing 13. he played hooker and 6. And wasn't nrl standard at either.

I credit Woolf with a lot of it.

Credit to Donga, he has found his spot, he needs to iron out those errors, which you can see him doing.

But its far from a I told you so moment. Give me strength

Good news Averillo is a way better option at 6.

Williams is a gun halfback but I'd much prefer Katoa and Averillo at 5/8. If Averillo can consistently play well at 5/8, it'll set up the spine for a number of years.

Going into next year 5/8th is the only question mark.

Averillo provides speed with a lack of ball playing. Kodi is a good ball player with a slight lack of speed.

I'd like a gun player. However, those two have been playing well enough to deserve another year.

I pray for luck with injuries and a good off-season. If we get that I can see top 4

In the news here just this morning, he's staying in the ESL. Apparently Woolf wanted him at the Dolphins but his ESL played hardball about a transfer fee. I don't believe that last part. Good player but not in the last position Dolphins are lacking in. Unless the rumours shut down by Katoa and the club earlier in the year about Katoa wanting out were in fact true.
