  • I would have gone with Fa'asuamaleaui starting, Welch on the bench and Collins or Flegler out of the team.

  • Valetine Holmes was utterly embarrassed by a young Tigers centre last weekend and the Hammer hasn't had to defend in the front line for a while. They are marking Mitchell and Trbojevic! Could be a worry.

  • Gilbert playing out of position as well. I think he'll do fine. Much better player than Capewell though is he a better edge backrower? Now sure
  • I think their 1~5 is much better than ours.

  • Clearly and DCE are close. Payne Haas is by far the best prop in the competition.

  • Other that that, I think we are a far better team. Pretty confident we can win.

Capewell apparently missed out due to injury. Tom Gilbert is a better player but I think Capewell is a better second rower.

Turbo and JAC are still not 100% and not been properly tested. Will be interesting to see how they cope with 80mins of high level attention.

As for Qld I'd have Tino starting

x2 for Tino. Their centres and wingers vs ours is a worry but I think we have them in the halves and forwards.

I hope Turbo doesn't replicate his form from the previous week, he was outstanding.

I hate to say it, but I don't think Hammer at centre is a good idea, especially against Mitchell. This could get ugly. So surprised Slater left Gagai out for him - hope I am proven wrong.

As a foreigner please explain how Stephen crichton is eligible for NSW? He plays for Samoa and was born there, I thought origin players must be available for Australia?

Not buying him being injured. He's upset about being dropped a couple of years ago and doesn't want to play for Brad Fittler anymore.

It's about "Tier one" and "Tier two" teams. Only England, NZ and Australia are "Tier one" which means being eligible to play for them makes one ineligible for Origin but not so for "Tier two". Most or those Samoa and Tonga players were born and raised in Australia or New Zealand.

My spies have led me astray. I heard he was named for Souths this weekend.
I'm a bit confused too, because I thought Graham wasn't picked for Origin because of injury, even though he is listed to play for Souths. NSW are crazy not to play him, especially if Mitchell is out.

Been a dodgy second half. Cobbo did very well to keep his feet up for that try
