Nice place to visit. Have strolled through Parliament House a couple of times. It's frigid climate and proximity to the coastline is a big negative for me.
Canberra has very distinct summer, autumn, winter and spring seasons.

I don't care about it being away from the coast. The main issue with Canberra I find is whilst the roads in Canberra are very good the roads out of Canberra are shocking the only exception being the Goulburn to Canberra motorway (Federal) that's a breeze with Lake George filled up too.

Lived in gungahlin for a couple of years, while I was working down there. Great spot

Canberra is different and depends on your tastes. I love walking around Lake Burley Griffin and there's a lot of sight seeing style of attractions more so than say theme parks or beaches. Canberra is a well laid out city bar all the access roads out of Canberra bar Federal Hwy (Goulburn link). I like Canberra because it's different whereas much of the coastal towns are 80% the same with a 20% difference. Canberra is so different to every other place it's the only major city that's inland and it's four times the population of Toowoomba (2nd biggest) so not a small outback town. Could I stay there for a week no, but is it a place I go to on many occasions absolutely because it's a different world.

I sometimes have lunch at Raiders Gungalin. More often I go to Raiders Belconnen and Raiders Queanbeyan.

TEENAGER INKS DEAL WITH DOLPHINS

The Dolphins continue to play the long game, beating a host of clubs to sign a classy edge forward fresh out of school.

Cruz Molo, a long-striding 18-year-old who played for Queensland at junior level, will join the Redcliffe academy and progress towards a top 30 spot in coming seasons.

The youngster from well-known league nursery Wavell State High School in Brisbane has a great motor and training with the big boys over the summer will only improve his value to the club.

Molo can break the line but is also a punishing defender - one to jot down in the little books!

I rate Hazleton I thought he was an outside chance for NSW last year good replacement for Goat and Kenny in 2026
Really? Well I didn't watch much of the Sharks but I think if Flegler is going to be ok to return, we have him and Saifiti. Gilbert might be turned into a prop as well. If this dude from England is really coming, where else is Gilbert going to play? I thought it might be a good chance to invest in youth when we already have 3 big name props.

I am hearing that we hear something this week about Knowles.

Dolphins will need to sign/promote 3 forwards to replace Bromwich, Nicholls and Kaufusi getting Knowles and Hazleton will be good for them.

Things are promising for Flegler he's in the process of all the clearances Dolphins are just being very guarded on the outside.

Both are already in the top 30

So they still need to sign 3 forwards to replace 3 retiring forwards
yeah and they will upgrade 3 from delopment n juniors again , only way to get them experince with the experience players they pick up i am sure our juniors for this season will step up and we will get more players of other teams for 26 to i am sure plenty talent be ready in our junior sides by then

some our juniors in state of o junior side

Braelan Marsh: The son of a gun - his dad BJ was a State of Origin series winning hooker. Braelan Marsh hails from Central Queensland and was an early signing by the Dolphins.

Brian Pouniu: One of the first juniors signed by the Dolphins, the North Lakes Kangaroos edge player is a fine prospect with a big motor. He spearheaded the Dolphins’ Connell Cup squads to top billing in both 2023 and 2024.

Carter Ford: Another son of a gun - his dad is the late Carl Webb, a Maroons State of Origin hero - Ford went to rugby league finishing school St Brendan’s College, Yeppoon.

Charlie Dickson: The Langer Trophy Player of the Season last year (alongside Titans’ Zane Harrison), Dickson is an elite No.13 prospect who hails from the Moreton Bay Raiders.

Elijah McKay: A tall, rangy centre from Mackay, Central Queensland, McKay played his way into the Queensland schoolboys last season as a centre. He has plenty of potential, and is awfully sharp in the air.

Jac Finigan: A late signing by the Dolphins last year, Finigan is a two-time Langer Trophy premiership winning second rower from PBC SHS. He is an outstanding defender who hits and sticks.

Kilarney Lavendar: Lavender is a wildcard talent, a big outside back with enormous upside. He attends TSS and has been named on the bench for the Dolphins NRL side in their upcoming clash with affiliate club the Capras.

He is still in school and only 12 months ago made a startling return to footy after sustaining an ACL injury.

Zac Garton: Garton, a Caloundra SHS old boy, will play NRL one day.
