To become a bigger brand than the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL, the Dolphins would need to focus on several key areas of their brand development and marketing strategies. Here are some steps they could take:

  1. Build a Strong Identity: The Dolphins need to establish a unique and compelling brand identity that resonates with fans. This includes creating a distinctive logo, team colors, and a compelling team name that reflects the local culture and heritage.
  2. On-Field Success: Winning games and championships is crucial for building a strong brand. The Dolphins should focus on recruiting and developing talented players, hiring experienced coaches, and implementing effective training and development programs to enhance their on-field performance. A successful team will attract more fans and media attention, ultimately strengthening the brand.
  3. Community Engagement: Building a strong connection with the local community is essential. The Dolphins should actively engage with fans through community events, charity initiatives, and youth development programs. This involvement helps create a sense of belonging and loyalty among fans, elevating the team's brand image.
  4. Sponsorship and Partnerships: The Dolphins should actively seek partnerships with local businesses and organizations. Collaborating with well-known brands can increase exposure and provide financial support to invest in team development and marketing efforts. By aligning with reputable sponsors, the Dolphins can enhance their brand credibility and attract a broader audience.
  5. Digital Presence and Social Media: The Dolphins should invest in a strong digital presence, including a well-designed and user-friendly website, active social media accounts, and engaging content. They should regularly update fans with news, match highlights, player interviews, and behind-the-scenes content. Leveraging social media platforms effectively can significantly increase the team's reach and fan engagement.
  6. Fan Experience: Providing an exceptional fan experience during games is crucial. The Dolphins should focus on creating a vibrant and entertaining atmosphere at their home games, with engaging half-time shows, interactive fan activities, and affordable ticket prices. Enhancing the in-stadium experience will help build a loyal and passionate fan base.
  7. Merchandising and Licensing: Developing a range of high-quality merchandise, including jerseys, apparel, and accessories, can generate additional revenue streams and increase brand visibility. The Dolphins should also explore licensing opportunities to expand their merchandise offerings and reach a broader market.

How does it say we should recover from the loss of Tom Gilbert?

You can ask: https://chat.openai.com/ Don't want this to become an AI forum.

Chat GPT doesn't know much. But it knows the Broncos are better.

Well, it's no surprise that the Broncos are a better team than the Dolphins. After all, while the Dolphins may be known for their friendly and intelligent marine creatures, the Broncos are all about raw power and majestic beauty. I mean, who needs dolphins gracefully swimming when you can have a stampede of fierce, mighty broncos charging down the field? Plus, horses have been a symbol of strength and speed for centuries, whereas dolphins are mostly known for their ability to balance beach balls on their noses. So, let's face it, when it comes to football, it's pretty clear that the Broncos reign supreme over the Dolphins!

Dear ChatGPT
The Dolphins have lots of salary cap space. Which Broncos player should the club target?

Dear User
Payne Haas:cool:
If there's one prop worth a million a year, it's Haas but I don't think any prop is worth that much. Should only be a fullback, 5/8, halfback or hooker on that money.

Our forwards are good but not getting any younger. Payne Haas might be worth a mil a year, paid forward in the first 2 years and less when we don't have a lot of salary cap space.

This is why Wayne Bennett hasn't won a premiership in a while. It's silly thinking in the modern game, none of those positions can do anything without their forwards.

Something to be said for not offering a non spine like him marquee money but Wayne has had a lot harder competition over the last 15 years.

That's true but in theory it's harder to find a skilled playmaker than a big prop who runs hard and makes metres. Though I know that's an oversimplification. And Haas is about as good as props get.

It's a catch 22 type situation - having a tier 1 prop like Haas will create room and opportunities for the playmakers, especially now Haas is developing his offload. But if you spend all your money on a tier 1 prop and skimp on playmakers so they can't capitalise - then what is the point?

Broncos have definitely nailed their team dynamic this year - mostly by allowing Mam time to develop last year, which is paying off now (and will continue to get better) and also with Walsh who they got at waaaaaaaaaaay unders for what he is delivering now.

That's a very good point. I mean the first paragraph.

Speaking of the devil, I think Broncos are also paying Haas unders. But I still can't see them beating full strength or near full strength Penrith or Souths this year. Who do they have lined up to replace Flegler and Herbie next year?

This definitely seems like the Broncos best year for a chance at the premiership. I reckon they are in with a chance if they can pull it all together - Souths have not been as strong the past few weeks, especially without Mitchell, and Broncs have beaten Penrith already, so who knows.

Next year true those are big losses Herbie and Flegler, and ARey is probably in his swansong year too.

Weren't full strength Broncos hammered by near full strength Penrith a few weeks ago?

They only lost 15 -4 and were without Reynolds - he is ultra-important for them obviously.

They got hammered by Souths 32-6 without Haas and Mam, which was concerning, but I reckon on their day with a full roster they have a chance at beating anyone really.

Question is do Dolphins fans want them to win. At this point, I feel it'd be detrimental to the Dolphins so "no". In a few years when we are more firmly established, good luck to them except against the Dolphins.

I'd still love the broncos to win to be honest. Although I'd much rather Dolphins win the GF, I still have a soft spot for the Broncs after supporting them since 1988.

Don't forget they released players only on the provision they didn't join the Dolphins. They fired the first shots.

They are ruthless and we must be as well. We have the right man (Wayne) in charge for that.
