Kurt D has found his position at 13. I can see with Plath back next year, one being the starting lock, and one being the 14, with Gilbert to the back row I think.
Gilbert has to pack on some more weight and become a prop, IMO.

Our backrowers are:
  • Finefuiaki
  • Lemuelu
  • Keeley
  • Walsh waiting in the wings.
Props are:
  • Saifiti
  • (Hopefully) Flegler
  • (Maybe) Kaufusi
  • Molo
  • Tawha

Gilbert won't be front row.

I could see him being a backrower/middle forward.

Just my opinion. Because 3 doesn't go into 2

Just on your front row list.

Flegler/Saifiti/Molo are a great 3 rotation. Kaufusi is exeperience, however, i don't think he is a front rower, and Tawhi id want to see more/improvement from him. I'd be on the hunt for a 4th in that rotation. Maybe a young talent with some size about him.

A .500 record heading into their final bye is a great accomplishment considering that they started 0-4. Also, currently the top offense in the comp. Get used to that stat. The Dolphins are going to pile on some points in the coming years. Three more victories will clinch a playoff spot. The remaining schedule is as follows:

NZ (a)
Syd (h)
Bris (a)
Manly (a)
GC (h)
Canb (h)

I see GC, NZ and the Broncos as the best chances for victory. Not an easy run, though. Hopefully, a few of the injured brigade will start trickling back in.

That's a good looking side. Let's hope Flegler is good to go next year. Donga will be in there somewhere. Probably at 13 with Plath at 9. JMK a bench option. Averillo doesn't really suit in the bench role. It will be interesting to see how Cobbo goes in Dolphin colours.

Canberra last round too.

Reason being. They will have top spot secured. They may rest players like Papa, so they are fresh for the finals.

Roosters at home and manly (who are all over the place) aren't too rough either.

Blockade Blockade as you said the other day re C you were spot on & last night further proof that Averillo was a massive difference in favour of the Dolphins in attack & also shutting down Nanai. Let me add C was able to convince most of the 10-15 members in here prior to the trials that Donga won’t be re signed & he’s a rubbish player. He was extended for another two years before the trials started & has been the breakout player this season for Dolphins. He’s in the top 17 next year only way he misses out is injury or suspension as it won’t be poor form or attitude. He’s now owning that lock spot and working a great combination with Katoa and this Dolphins team is now based all around Katoa.

Averillo for me was the best on ground followed by Donga and Lemuelu. Honourable mention to Keeley who’s now growing every week as an NRL player. I reckon last night was his first full 80 at NRL.
