I think he's overrated and not worth close to 1mil a year but 5/8 is a position we are lacking in. If not right now, certainly in the near future with Niko not getting any younger.

They were considering having a shot at Daly Cherry-Evans, so you know they’re active in the transfer market. The Dolphins haven’t really settled on a long-term five-eighth to partner Isaiya Katoa in the halves, with Kodi Nikorima the latest to wear the No.6 jumper. The Dolphins have been able to front load some deals in their first couple of seasons, which could give them the salary cap space to make a Galvin play.

Status: Don’t rule them out

Sexton isn't of any interest for Dolphins. Coach keeps saying we are (for obvious reasons) sticking with Katoa.

I'm a massive fan of Toby Sexton. On the old Dolphins Facebook page I wanted Dolphins to sign him when O'Sullivan and Milford went down early in 2023 as he was obviously out of favour with Holbrook months before he joined Bulldogs. I never thought he was on the Bulldogs radar as Gus was looking at other options around that time. As much as I rate Sexton I'm glad Dolphins didn't add him to Top 30 at the time as they signed Max Plath a few weeks later. Plath has gone to a new level as a player.

Woolf on the weekend said whoever plays in the halves has to work around the fact Katoa is no.7 there's ticks and crosses in all performances that's the biggest tick for Woolf is his support for Katoa.

On the old Dolphins Facebook page I wanted Dolphins to sign him when O'Sullivan and Milford went down early in 2023 as he was obviously out of favour with Holbrook months before he joined Bulldogs. I never thought he was on the Bulldogs radar as Gus was looking at other options around that time. As much as I rate Sexton I'm glad Dolphins didn't add him to Top 30 at the time as they signed Max Plath a few weeks later. Plath has gone to a new level as a player.

oh for sure but options are limited in club for a 6 whose going be ready for nrl not worried about izzy more who partners and that looks issue for club not many ready made 6s out there in devlopments so i see us getting one

Sexton is a good QLD Cup halfback. Not a NRL 5/8.

Good for Gus. I'm not sure what Sexton's contract status is but Gus won't be pawing him off onto the Dolphins.
