Forget the romantic homecoming, I honestly can't see DCE coming to the Dolphins. Do you really think he's going to uproot his wife and kids for a two-year deal in Qld with a club that won't be a serious GF contender in that time? Redcliffe might be DCE's home but his kids are Sydney born and bred - it's where their schools are and their friends are. If he leaves Manly (and I hope he doesn't) then the Roosters are the only real option - they'll remain in their home and he'll make the trip from the Northern Beaches each day for training
If you remember before he signed his 10-year deal. The circus that went on.

Evans love of money is strong. Forget everything else. Money will be the only factor here. His love for it is strong.

dce is money hungry and i going watch at intrest because i got feeling nrl wont allow a short term deal on penuts ( and thats why i think rules us out it be a club like dragons or chocks that can come up with 3rd party deals as no way we that silly to put a deal on table for two years plus anything over 800k which he want more than he will want be in a club that gets him a tv gig

It's just a negotiating tactic. Expect a new deal with Manly in the next few days. I think it would be a really negative move anyway. Halves are not our issue. To recruit a 36 year-old halfback is a very negative move as far as I can see.

It'll come down to whether he likes a brown bag full of cash or a succulent chinese dinner no other club is in the ball park unless he re-signs with Manly.

No money in Super League now the game is on life support in the UK. It's now only a competition if you can't secure any sort of NRL deal.
I have to laugh when fans state that DCE could make more money in England. A million dollar contract would take up almost a quarter of the cap. The ESL is struggling terribly and is in danger of folding.

So much talk today on Twitter from UK based fans about an NRL Europe breakaway because all the rubbish clubs voted in an incompetent official to be in charge of the game. They could be having their 1995 Super League moment except it won't be an even money fight and RFL will capitulate.
