Woolf says there is room for 2
Whilst the recruitment of George Williams is puzzling, and Kodi killing it makes it look worse, and looking at it from the outer there are question marks.
Communicating the plan to the fan base is important, especially when you're in the middle of a a bad start to the season a few months ago.
So if Woolf is suggesting the plan was always to keep both and to have healthy competition in the halves, and depth when rep duty or injures (As Kodi is accustom to) hit. I am onboard and supportive of it. I suspect it wasn't the plan, they thought to move on an aging half they thought would decline, and they pulled the trigger early on a replacement of the same age (a mistake). However, I could be wrong. That being said, if it was always the plan, I am on board and happy about the abundance of depth if they can keep them all happy with the playing time the players want. Winning will keep them happy.
One exception. I am happy with all the depth, if it doesn't push out our main players due to salary cap constraints. I'm not on board if we don't keep the likes of a young Herbie and Bostock, add Hammer to that and Katoa when his contract comes up. I'm not okay with the statement "you cant keep them all". I'm not suggesting we can keep them all. I am suggesting we can keep all the most important contributors to success. And not cap bloat unnecessarily. Depth is good, but not at the expense of your best players.
Keen to see what happens. Been a good ride so far.
