They must be under salary cap stress as well. I think St George, Canberra Parramatta and Dolphins might have a decent amount of cap space.

Here is another thing the NRL has to address. Gould can't be in a club position and commentate on players contracts and running's of clubs. There are self-interests involved etc.

NRL tried to fine Gus last year and when Gus challenged V'Landys went to water.
Doesn't make it right. V'Landys, also, doesn't seem like a guy that goes to water. It is very likely something else at play there. That something else isn't a surprise to me. It's the same something else that disappears with salary cap trouble etc. The game isn't clean, it would cost too much to make it fair and clean, a lot easier just to buy a big broom and a large carpet.

Ezra Mam should have got closer to 9 years than 9 weeks V'Landys buckled.

Dolphins offered Hunt 300k more over 2 years than Broncos V'Landys turned a blind eye.

Roosters until now did what they pleased with signings something caught up to them.

Gus stood up to V'Landys last year and V'Landys crumbled.

yes because them clubs have player sponsor deals ( that cant be touched by nrl hence they get away with it why you think gus pays them shit same thing happened at panthers when he was there

As for the Roosters, it was astonishing Braith Asasta, former Roosters player and current play manager, said on live TV, "there is an understanding that if you sign with them (the Roosters) the board there will set you up for life after football." That would most definitely be cheating the cap.

I use to be connected with an ex player from the start of the cap era. Not going to say which club. He told me whenever he needed extra cash. It would turn up.

I’ll phrase it differently. Do you think that’s Vlandys buckling? Or do you think it’s how vlandys makes things run smoothly?

Do you think causing public issue with Gus is a great look? Or do you think sorting behind closed doors is the way to go?

As I said to you. Gus is a moron and a whore to the media. Policing the cap and creating noise around the comp is bad for the masses.

Matt I like you. You seem like a nice poster. However, you’re parroting the words of the masses. There is a reason a man like Vlandys gets to the top of the game in a sport run by gambling houses, and another sport run by gambling houses. And it’s not because he is a violet crumble.

Wind it in on Gus, he is a small fish in Vlandys sea mate. I could sit hear and write a 5 page post and answer each of your points. However, it’s hard on an iPhone. I might save it for a day I meet you I a pub and chat nrl with you. Let’s just say, the DT is the mouthpiece of the NRL. Any publicity is good publicity in sport. And whatever you read is scratching the surface. And fact comes secondary to perception in life. All of those points are what you call facts, and what I would call opinions. And the problem with society is they will continue push them as fact and die in that hill. And generally they finish second on that hill in The game if life.

Let’s take your Dolphins signing Hunt point.

What a great news story for the biggest market in football. So let’s facilitate the return home of the prodigal son.

Okay, they do a dodgy on the cap. Let’s sweep that under the rug, because the benefit far outweighs the optics.

Papers will sell. Tick

We have a great news story to occupy brissy papers, when we eventually find a broncos player drunk in a toilet night club with an unnamed female. Tick

We have our main story for the rest of the year when the broncos return to form. Tick.

Also, we can have the biggest team in the biggest market shit. If they cheat the cap, who cares. Make sure that market is happy and spending on NRL despite the spending crisis and increase in interest rates.

Dude. The NRL is a business it’s not a sport. Rules, like the cap, are tools to legitimise the product you’re spending money on, and the media coverage is an indirect tool for this as well.

Fuck, we are getting a fucking PNG team for Christ sakes. What in earth has that to do with football. However, you would call that Vlandys crumbling to the govt. whereas, I would call it him lining his pockets, fact or opinion?
