Dogs looking to move on Burton. Surprised but Galvin is definitely a 5/8 rather than a halfback. Salary cap pressure on the Dogs.

Let’s hope so , they must be sailing close to the cap. I thought Burton was the second coming with his overrated one trick kicking game , which was lauded by Matt. Plus the over hyped and lazy back rower in kikau $850 next year for him. It must be killing them cap wise

Very good move for Norths/Perth and Easts Tigers.

That now leaves Toowoomba as the only club without an affiliate partner.

Gus Gould has said many times the club don't have cap pressure. I don't agree with the whole moving on Burton thing and I didn't agree with the Galvin pursuit even though he's a generational talent just didn't think it was worth rocking what was building from within and the results post Galvin despite him being our best player in at least 2 games showed that.

They need a couple of boppers up front to help king and Thompson next year. Got quite a small pack, hence clearing the big earners to facilitate this. Signing Galvin would push you to the limit cap wise.

I agree with you about the props if it's Gould's fall down is that he's only signed Leo Thompson.

O'Sullivan is a massive downgrade on Sexton and Schneider is a significant upgrade on O'Sullivan.

The way to success is salary cap management.

You can't keep getting players on high salaries. Sacking them off overseas and be paying part of their salary to play elsewhere. Which is exactly what is happening at the dogs.

Gould will give himself a small windows, which he seems to have fucked already. But that mounting cap handicaps you in the long-run. Or you just cheat.

They'll be back to last in 3/4 years with a massive back ended cap.

They also need a fullback and a hooker. Maybe they have some in the lower grades they are confident about.

They would have to pay part of his contract for the duration of his contract. But anyway, I think Burton would be a perfect foil for Katoa.
I’ve never seen anything from Burton that excites me, happy with averillo.
