Round 8: Dolphins vs NZ Warriors

It’s about time somebody had a talk to Katoa…methinks his head may be a little big these days. Besides being a speed bump for the likes of Erin Clarke today, he did absolutely nothing to create shape in attack and to have the defence asking questions. In one briilliant minute of play when we were trying to keep the wahs down in their red zone, he gave away a six again, a penalty and then the Wahs scored and he he was giving everyone a rocket behind the line. I absolutely loved the way he played last season but he isn’t a shadow of that player this year and he needs to pull his finger out quick smart if we are going to make a run for the finals

Gilbert, Flegler and Knowles have been the major disappointments for me. Far too many penalties, ruck infringements, handling errors and missed tackles from this trio. They are solely responsible for the predicament the Dolphins find themselves in. It's hard for any HB when they are playing behind a subpar pack. The Dolphins are always chasing their tail and won't have any success until they catch up with it.

I have no doubt that he'll get back to his best after two long years out of the game. But, that may not be till next year when he moulds his body to suit the modern game.
