Dolphins offered him a Gould style role for the rest of his life maybe he should have taken it.

Bennett loves three clubs and two clubs love him back. He loves Latrell Mitchell and felt a sense to be with them after their year from hell plus a good pay day too eventually and you’re right Equaliser there is an end point for a coach. It happened with Fulton where he went into admin and Gould said on a podcast last year when he stepped down as coach it was only meant to be for a couple of years but time passed by where he more went into admin. The game beat Sheens by in 2023 & being at a toxic club run on 1999 lines didn’t help Sheens jn his heyday was a great coach. I’m not saying coaching has passed Bennett by but three years at a club is with strong personalities will test him big time.

Last night Dolphins should have lost by 20 with 7 forwards out, Bostock out, Fuller out and Tupou pulled out and Souths best 17 available bar Murray and mid season signing Smith. Instead Dolphins win by 22 this is worrying for Bennett and Souths.

Blockade unfortunately is right they’ll eventually run out of petrol and IMO Nicholls is hanging on by a thread Souths caught him out laterally twice in their last two tries.

What Dolphins really need right now is for Tawha to gain confidence of being an NRL player now and for a miracle with Flegler who is coming back it’s just a matter of when not if. Hopefully it’s this year and not next year they need some positive luck.

Keeley and Donoghoe have now taken the next steps as bonafide NRL players Tawha needs to join them.

Cobbo or a prop forward coming next week to replace Tupou be nice. If Dolphins want Cobbo now they need to push the mental health angle after the hit job Badel done on Cobbo.

Woolf did hook him. Kerr single handedly changed momentum last night.

For me it shows Woolf isn't scared to make the tough calls on someone. His use of the bench is great, as well as his game management. Whilst this all sounds obvious. There are coaches out there that don't use the bench or interchange well at all.

His man management seems great too. After then game Woolf seems to be calm with his troops, and obviously gets his message and plans right and across well.

Bringing this across to the Cobbo signing. Other then Bennett, I think Woolf will be the perfect coach for Cobbo. We could see something in that 1 year deal. Actually, I will put my balls on the line, and say we will.
