Round 15 vs Sydney Roosters

Did you see Matt while you were there? Probably not, because he was actually "at" the game, not the fantasy bullshit that you keep feeding us. You've never been "at" anywhere.

First time I've been to Suncorp since the 3rd Origin in 1999 when it was the old configuration confirms my view it's the absolute best Rugby League stadium in the world. I also enjoyed the Caxton experience visiting Lord Alfred and Milton hotels. I had a great night and so happy the Dolphins turned on an absolute treat yes had the Redcliffe Dolphins QRL jersey and cap on last night.

Trai Fuller and Tevita Naufahu both absolutely sensational and we can now all see why it won't be so bad replacing Jamayne Isaako with Naufahu a ready made first grader he showed that last year and I for one wouldn't have been disappointed if he retained his spot to start the season.

I'm currently on a two week road trip and part of the trip included last Saturday's Redcliffe Dolphins game at Toowoomba if you follow my personal IG page I absolute love the Toowoomba area and last night was at the NRL game catching up with various people. Right now at the Leagues Club and later today into Brighton for the BRL A/Grade game as I know the families of two players originally from the Bankstown area. Tomorrow I go to the Markets love it there and Monday back on the road trip to Burleigh and Tweed Heads.

There is no way George Williams should be dislodging the Nikorima/Katoa partnership they are absolutely firing. Hopefully Dolphins can find an exit from the Williams deal as the club is happy and firing don't want a suicide signing yes pointing to a Sydney club.

Jeremy Marshall-King and Kurt Donoghoe have added so much to the Dolphins since their returns they along with Herbie Farnworth and Isaiya Katoa are the four most valuable players at the Dolphins more maybe better but none more valuable.

Good to see Ray Stone get massive cheers when he came on and when he came off. He's one player who has really adapted so well to the new V'Landys rules.

Some very pleasing aspects and I'm so very happy is that fitness has improved remarkably, in the last 6 weeks they've been finishing stronger, discipline has improved out of night and they're not letting games slip. They did against Penrith and Warriors and learned from them but it's also helped both JMK and Donga returned as both players free so much attack up for Dolphins and also produce massive defensive efforts.

I also went to the Dolphins game against Canberra in Canberra that was a great night got to catch up with Brian Pouniu and Tevita Naufahu post game. There was barely a bay of us supporting Dolphins and most of the crowd was made up of family & friends who came to support the players who live in NSW plus debutant Pouniu. Amazing from the Dolphins to make sure Joseph was able to get there and look after him.

I was a massive JMK fan in his Bulldogs day when not many Bulldogs fans wanted him sacked. I was glad Dolphins signed him. I am disappointed Dolphins losing Jake Averillo but at least it's to Wests Tigers who will encourage his style of play and a likable Sydney side.

FFS, would you stop it! I'm absolutely, 100% sure Woolf didn't want to start the season so badly. I'm sure he wishes we won every game.
Yep. Every coach every player wants to win every game except Manly players in the opening 3 games.

The returns of Bostock, Donoghoe and JMK been massive.

Not many non Dolphin fans would travel to places like Brissy, Canberra and Darwin to catch them in action. I'm sure you were there as well during your daydreams. You need to desist from berating other fans whose opinions differ from yours. It shows a total lack of maturity.

Darwin admittedly always a no no for me I find the QLD heat too much for me in summer lol.

Anyone who goes to Darwin has my respect but I don’t kind the Canberra cold so I’m reverse :)

I got some good news on some additions to the Dolphins squad.

Aaah Matt you’re back , enjoy your trip. There’s a nice Bahn mi stall at the markets normally at the bottom next to the Texan smokehouse

Yep, it was stinking hot, but a unique experience all the same. We probably wouldn't do it again though as Darwin is incredibly boring. We are hoping that the Dolphins have a fixture in Perth next year. That would be a lot of fun.

Had a bit of a break due to work and travel. Today is a pure football day of my trip I’m at Brighton for the Brighton & Redcliffe BRL games v Valleys.

I generally don’t have Bahn Mi because the Vietnamese Pork Roll i have at East Maitland Bakehouse is so very very good I can’t have another LOL. I had the Lamb Shank at the Leagues yesterday they make it so very good. I’ll have a look at the bakery when walking around the markets.

The last 6 games seen Dolphins get better every game even included a win without Herbie.

Perth has always been on my bucket list for travel but I’m more a get in my car and see where it takes me type whereas Perth I have to pre book including figuring out hire cars and public transport.

Last night was a blast caught up with a range of Dolphins fans, loved Caxton Street and Suncorp the best rugby league stadium by a mile. I can see why Magic Round works so well in Brisbane and as I said on my personal blogs the two major heartland cities now have a traditional event each Sydney with grand final and Brisbane with magic round.

It helps with Dolphins playing so well and IMO getting better every game. Storm win diabolical in opening 40 only woke up after Hammer was binned, Bulldogs game most sides are leading by more than 12-4 when Galvin gifted Isaako with the loose pass and the four weeks after that more compete.

Trent Robinson didn’t offer the excuse of 7 out as it wasn’t the rookies who let Roosters down it was all their senior players aside from Whyte.

Anyone who was puzzled by Isaako leaving can now rest easy because Naufahu has to be playing permanent NRL next year and won’t shock me if he has a 20-30 test career with New Zealand. His two games against Canberra and Roosters very impressive and his chase last night shows everything what Naufahu stands for as a player and character.

The bottom line is Matt, we are a super-fit team. As for the Dogs, I think they are fit as well just not very good.

Worked in Darwin for 18 months over 10 years ago , absolutely agree with you the humidity is next level and Darwin is quite boring but the national parks are beautiful

He would be on half the $$$ as well that’s how the cap works, really think we can go deep into the season with the depth and camaraderie we have

Not to mention 253m, T, TA and 3 LB's. He makes the most of his limited opportunities as he performs every single time. He will be full time next year and will produce some significant numbers.

Unfortunately for him, Cobbo and Isaako are right now probably the form wingers of the competition. The depth we have assembled is hard to believe with the salary cap the way it is.

I honestly reckon a lot of it comes down to the vibe and the culture of the club. We are still the newest team and guys that come here aren't thinking they can sit on their arses and get a pay day. They come here to try and get this team better every year and win the comp it seems. And guys like fuller mean we can have depth without paying out the arse. I suspect a lot of our guys except hammer and Herbie are on less than any player as good as them in their position if that makes sense.
