Sharks are a pet club of the NRL. Even if they 'were salary cap compliant on GF day', which I don't believe, if they cheatedin order to get to the GF, why wasn't the premiership taken off them?
I agree with you. Sharks are the most irrelevant and disposable team in Sydney after North Sydney Bears they have such a small supporter base, they don't attempt to grow their base and they play at a ground 10-11 times a year with a capacity not far off Kayo Stadium. They're the biggest whingers when having to play 'home' semi finals at Allianz or Accor Stadiums. Roosters have a small fan base but at least have a profile, Manly don't have the biggest fanbase but at least they have a hate base making them relevant and Penrith don't have many fans outside of Penrith but they have the biggest junior system & most young kids who follow NRL whether it's Panthers or someone else. The big fan bases in Sydney are Canterbury, Parramatta, Souths, Wests Tigers and St George. Their one premiership was lathered with interesting salary cap either side of 2016 and of course peptides.

Beating Parramatta tonight will be tough they always get very good calls at home, Dolphins pack been carried by Saifiti and Moses is another level elite player he unlike Cleary has owned Origin in the most pressure cooker moment. He knows Katoa is next generation NSW halfback he'll want to show Katoa who's no.1.

After dominating the early part of the half but only leading 6-0, it was always a worry Parra would get back into it pretty easily.

First half standouts:
  • Katoa
  • Kaufusi
  • Bostock (hasn't done anything really good but how many carries has he had???)

Change Bostock for Donoghue or add Donoghue to the list.

You would have to think Dolphins need to find another gear to win this.

Herbie MOM but FFS, what has happened to the defence again? JAC goes straight through some barely hung out just after Dylan Brown.

Wow that was a heart stopper Dolphins did well to comeback from a crippling 8-1 penalty count that went beyond home town refereeing

Glad for the win but have to improve a lot to make the top 8. At least that keeps us in the race.

Yes a lot of stuff Dolphins need to work on and need to up the ante at training

But they overcome a referee who was there for the crowd it went past home town heroism and something much worse Dolphins did well to lead 20-12

Herbie MoM.

However, Katoa managed that game well, his ball playing is out of this world along with his kicking game> DAMN HE IS A BALLER!!
That last 10 min was a redux of the second half against Canberra. Blokes just hanging arms out and barely even doing that. None of that is Katoa's fault but on the contrary, makes it harder for him to dominate.

I'd be phasing out some of the old forwards now. Starting with Nicholls. He goes ok. I don't mean to crticise him but I think need a couple of very enthusiastic young forwards in the team. They will play a few bad games as opposed to Nicholls who almost always goes ok but this forwards pack isn't going to get the job done.

Overcame 8-1 penalty count at one stage it went past home town calls. I know Dolphins made it hard in the end and their fitness issues did show up but they showed so much character to overcome such bias. This was better than other wins they’ve had because they had to win by overcoming officialdom, the crowd & scramble at the end. Getting some ugly wins can be the difference between making the finals or not.
