And let me tell you, after years on the dragon's forums, in which an insider lurked, and at time posted info. Many a journo, got information from there and directly posted the info in newspapers.

If was tested with some false info one day, and the journo got caught out by the insider.
If he comes it will surely be to play 5/8, won't it?

Michael Carayannis NRL 360. Sorry cant spell his name.

I got the initial information elsewhere. And since I have heard him say it on live TV.

The stuff about Us being the richest deal was on NRL 360 last night, you can check that out. The Talagi stuff was mentioned a few episodes ago. I also think I posted an article supporting it. Again, I got the information elsewhere, however, its been mentioned in the media.

after a 30 second google, i have posted the first article I found for you.

‘Knights still keen but the latest I’ve heard is if he doesn’t re-sign with the Eels, he will go to the Dolphins,’ Toohey said on X.

Ryles has been named the coach, so he may have changed his thoughts, however, we are in for him. And as I mentioned, it was for 5/8th not fullback. Ryles may have convinced him to stay. But the fact he hasn't signed yet, means we are still in with a chance, because we havent said we have pulled out.
I just wish both if them, Talagi and Utoikamanu would hurry up and decide.

If we could only get one of the two, I'd definitely go with Talagi. I don't watch many Tigers games. From what I've seen, don't understand what all the fuss is about. He's 23 now. Not as if he's just burst onto the scene.

"Free to negotiate with rival clubs after turning down a player option in his contract, Talagi's future has been up in the air for several months since deciding to test the open market."

In this article. That i have copied you I think twice in this thread.

Club he is with now, Parramatta, have a 10 day right to make an alternate offer and have him reneg on any deal he signs with a new club.

So even if we sign him today, it won't be over the line for 10 days.

His contract has an option in the players favour. Pretty much he can do whatever he wants should he decide not to take up that option. Which as of a month ago, he told them he wouldn't be. Unless he exercises the option to extend his deal, he can go to another club. Moses has the same clause in his contract for the next 2 years after this one.

Its some power limiting clauses parra has let get into their players contracts over the last few years.

However, now that he knows Ryles is the coach, he may want to extend. Before that it was a different story. The radio silence would be a worry for parra

He already rejected the Eels offer.

on the back of what i said yesterday

Talagi is on the open market after knocking back an option in his contract to stay put, with several of his teammates having similar clauses in their favour. The Eels have drawn criticism for giving eight of their stars an “option” in their contract, the majority of which are in the favour of the player.

The practice has clouded the long-term future of their biggest assets, halves Dylan Brown and Mitchell Moses, as well as other key members of the squad.
Few NRL players are contracted as long as Brown, whose deal could tie him to Parramatta until the end of 2031. However, the Kiwi international can decide in early 2025 whether he wants to leave or trigger an option to remain for the 2026-27 seasons

As you can see, the club, manager or the lord Jesus Christ can do 2/5th's of nothing if the contract is in the players favour. The player will decide.

No it does not. Blaize may decide to stay, if he wishes, the Eels HAVE NO SAY WHATSOEVER, in whether he does, because the contract is in the players favour.

Furthermore, Blaize does not have to give a right of refusal, as the contract is in his favour.

I am not sure who is telling you stuff, however, they either don't understand the situation fully, or they are telling you porky pies.

Isaac is a very smart agent for players. It is a great money making clause to put in contracts for both agent and player. What it means is isaac earns a clip every time he negotiates the contract, which is more often if he puts a player clause in there, because over a 5 year deal, if the player can test the market after 3, the club needs to pony up half way through a contract. Which is what is happening to the Eels. The Eels didnt have to agree to the clauses, they were dumb enough to, other clubs don't allow them. Cant be blaming Moses for this, the Eels should of said no,

Further to the point above, you might wonder why parra did this.

Well, I am assuming Parra thought they were in a premiership window. So the classic plan is to get the players across the line contract wise, to try keep the squad together in the short term, to ultimately win the comp. Unfortunately, that has backfired for them, and they have won nothing. Now, the team is starting to depart due to these short term contract tactics. Problem is, they have won nothing, and people are upset. Had they won a comp, no one would have said anything.

Moses is the worse contract of all, if you remember they only renewed him not long ago. He is on big money, and I think next year he can go back and ask for more or leave. It's the contract equivalent of holding a smoking gun to the head of a club.

It's not Isaac's fault at all, The Eels knew what they were doing, and it didn't work. Now they have 8 of these contracts, and no power in negotiating them. Ryles will have a clean slate though, the flip side, he will need to attract high end players as a rookie coach. He has his work cut out for him.

However, you can rest easy Mr C. He is likely to stay at Parra with a bump up from center to fullback money, with Parra digging themselves into contract holes.

mr_c mr_c, can we put this to bed? He is free to negotiate with any other club and free to leave Parra at the end of the season period. The only question; is he as good as they say? From the little I saw, I thought he might be a good centre. But with Kotoa managing the game from halfback, any decent centre could probably play 5/8 and be ok.
