Obviously RL is never going to challenge football in England but what are the chances of it doing to RU what it doing in NZ? i.e. Not "taking over" but making very serious inroads to the supporter base and juniors playing the games.

Sadly until the ESL is broken up and team spread around it wont happen. When i was in Wales it was the same situation you have the crusaders in Bridgend and when they folded you had all these age grade players with no senior side. What kid at 16 is going to pack up and move to the north of england to an academy side with no family support on the hope of getting paid enough to eat especially when the welsh RU regions were paying 20k a year for them to learn RU. essentially all the RL clubs are in a line from Liverpool to hull along the M62.

The guy has issues. there are two ways of looking at it, 1) you take him now put him in qcup and say dont' worry about anything just play for fun go out enjoy yourself. you will not get in the 18 this season there is no pressure just enjoy your footy. This can take the weight off his shoulders and allow him to play with a smile.
2) you as my grandfather used to say give him 8 lace holes and send him out to play. He'll have a face like a smacked arse and be a basket case. Ray Stone is the resident miserable git but he absolutely carries it off and does outstanding work.

Cobbo is like a parallel world Jimi Hendrix who was too bone idle to practice.

Badel is a Broncos insider he’s employed by the Broncos owners and does what the Broncos tell him. He done these types of articles after Walters got sacked for Broncos to justify to their pea brain fans who are all sheep of the courier mail. Badel supported Mam as the Broncos wanted to keep him so it became the Ubers and 4yo girls fault Badel has form.

Cobbo needs to leave today or tomorrow and get into a place where his coach and management will back him.

Club is toxic (Broncos a a ex rugby league great said few weeks ago that club. Changed when Bennett left look at likes Wests n other struggling clubs they have lost there way you cant. Put guys struggling with mental health in clubs with no respect for you

Its the thing that has made Bennett the goat.

Coaching at the top level is all man management. Coaches that just fill up the numbers coach solely on performance improvement.

Teaching good footballers extra skill is such a small improvement for the effort put in. However, being able to get the best out of a player via good man management sees better results for less effort.

WIth Cobbo. There is a player in there. He needs a coach that can bring it out. Bennett does it well. I'm hoping Woolf can. I was 100% positive Maguire couldn't.

We may not see it. But it's a risk worth taking. And we are doing it for 1 season. Which is no risk at all.

Interestingly, we let Tupou go to the Roosters. No dispensation required. We are definitely pushing behind the scenes to get him this season.

Cobbo been withdrawn from the Wynnum side for today’s game Dobbo the village idiot on Triple M reckons it’s because of Walsh being in the QLD side. But there’s no doubt high level discussions between Reader and Donaghy being had right now. The relationship between Cobbo and Maguire was already shot to pieces and after the hit job done on Cobbo via Badel it’s now beyond repair and a serious welfare issue.

This is a club that promoted a mental health jersey which we know was tokenism and just a sales pitch for further profits. Broncos and Maguire should never ever be linked with player welfare.

I watched Da Silva closely on Friday night he’s either the worse dummy half I’ve seen since Lichaa or he was intentionally tanking the game. Smart move by Dolphins to withdraw Tupou and same by Broncos (Wynnum) today with Cobbo.

With Cobbo coming, and Kodi playing lights out, I'm pretty happy with our squad next year.

I originally thought we needed a marquee 6. However, Katoa has come on so fast, that he is the marquee.

All we need is a little luck injury wise. This year we have been so unlucky it's not funny
