Could find the money if they wanted him that bad. At least the Dolphins have. No million $ marquee players at all. Hammer is probably the highest paid and he's supposedly on about 800k.
Widely reported, that would could beat any bid in the market if we wanted him.

I thought, after Woolf's comments, that he was just being polite, but was never really interested in Hunt.

Think they wanted to spend money on other players not a aging half

Still nothing about Dolphins looking to recruit any established first graders from another club. Wolff must be really happy with the squad he has and must have a truck load of money left in the cap for a big name in the near future.

Now we have Saifiti, I'm surprised the club is even in the market for Leo Thompson.

According to who? I'm sure the Dolphins would like to sign him but there is the problem with the salary cap not allowing up to 3 props on big money.

How good is he? Just wondering why the Dragons haven't locked him up.
Seems he has held out, and looking at the market.

I assume the Dragons have offered him something. As a young 5/8th would you fancy partnering K Flanno, and him mentoring you through your first years in fg? I am assuming that’s why he might be watching the market.

I don’t know how good he is. Never got to see him.

rather get him now before senior players retire
Thompson is available for 2026 and it's expected 2025 will be the final season for Bromwich, Kausfui and Nichols. That will complete the changing of the guard within the Dolphins roster.

They way I see it, next year Dolphins only need a 5/8 if Averillo can't. Then another prop for the following year.

Lets look at the 3 Cup sides.

Redcliffe best player Fuller been promoted to NRL.

Capras best player Hubner signed with Souths.

Norths best players were Keeley (Dolphins NRL contracted), Simpkins gone to Titans, Jenkins gone to Leeds and Burns gone to Souths.

Of those of course I rate Fuller but he's not young anymore. This injury might be really bad for him. Of course it's bad but worse than it would be if he was 20. Also Keeley but don't really rate the rest of them.
