Too bad this. I really wanted to him an entire off season and then at least the trials as a 5/8 but I'm sure Woolf knows his game better than me.

DOLPHINS STAR LINKED WITH IMMEDIATE EXIT

Dolphins star Jake Averillo has reportedly been linked with an immediate switch to the English Super League amid a logjam of outside backs at the club.

Love Rugby League reported several Super League clubs are targeting Averillo for a move north as early as next season.

The 25-year-old is off-contract in 2026, which will be his third season at the Dolphins since switching from the Bulldogs in 2024.

Averillo has scored 53 tries and 39 goals in 125 NRL games since his debut in 2020, including 47 games for the Dolphins over the last two seasons.

However, the arrival of Selwyn Cobbo could see Averillo struggle to get a starting spot next season, with Herbie Farnworth, Jamayne Isaako and Jack Bostock all vying for spots in the backline.

Averillo can also play fullback and in the halves, but those spots are filled by Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow and Kodi Nikorima, while George Williams is set to join the club in 2027.

The Dolphins also have youngsters Tevita Naufahu and LJ Nonu in their system for 2026, which means Averillo might struggle to make the starting side if everyone is fit.

It is understood Averillo’s lack of job security in the top grade could well see him ask for a release from the final year of his deal.
The source is from Love Rugby League. Anytime i see them post anything i don't believe it even if its 100% true

With feagai gone and avo in the balance, I can't help but think about tino being off contract and Redcliffe being the closest team to his home town Gympie.

Monster forward like him would just about complete this team to a tee.

Any chances?

Not unless we were offloading Flegler.

And I was reading that we are offloading a few for cap management, I don't think Tino is in our budget.

However, the article could have been wrong.
I think Tino is overrated. He's on about the same money as Haas. Either Haas is dramatically underpaid or Tino is dramatically overpaid. Or a combination of the two is most likely.

If I was running a club I would throw everything at Haas he's the best club front rower in the game today by many lengths and the best since Lazarus.

Equaliser Equaliser agree on Tino.

Haas is the best prop in the comp easily. The fact he is on similar money to Tino suggests to me the new Gold Coast has coach has said to Tino something to the end of, "We are not going to pay you anything to play elsewhere but if you find a deal elsewhere, please take it."

I don't even rate Tino as the second or third best prop in the game the next best is Tapine and after that I would look at Fisher-Harris he's not a big stats player but really has an impact on clubs. If Flegler can bounce back and I'm certain he will he's certainly in the top 3-4. I'm not as sold on AFB as others.

Sorry Equaliser Equaliser there's one prop I still have above Haas since Lazarus and that's JWH he like Fisher-Harris dictated club successes he was the player that had Turbo/Joey like differences and the only year he plays for Hull KR a club outside of Wigan, St Helens, Bradford & Leeds wins Super League for the first time and they win all 3 trophies on offer JWH was a certified winner.

Lazarus has two things over Haas being he's been involved with 3 maiden premierships and significant contributor at all 3 and he dominated Origin/SL between 1990-96 & 1997 NSW won 6 lost 2 and the 2 they lost Lazarus didn't play at all in 1996 and missed 1991 decider.

yes he is , lol funniest thing is and i find this kinda odd thet let the backers of rugby 360 pay for them come to usa play games wine n dine them in all there sports games n casinos ( who picked up the bill oh wait rugby 360 )

rugby 360 owners come from all the biggest sporting leagues across the world soccer clubs basketball cricket
yet they want ban players and agents why not ban the cross code players or players that go to super league

10 year bans were something super league had then were found as illegal as your restricting trade if rugby 360 does come about , sounds more nrl running scared

they don't just get big basketball nfl players to rock up because they nrl

the fact also can lift the bans on case to case just shows how dumb nrl are ( you can bet if a top 10 player in nrl went he be weclomed back with open arms )

Wasnt hard to be right. This is the Mike Tindle idea. To which he has been told by all and sundry across the rugby world, wont see lift off.
They must have had some kind of financial backing and prove of funds for agents to tell players to leave contracts.

I am quite positive youre correct.

However, before this all became known and in the market place, i was listening to my english football radio programs.

Whilst listening to talksport one day, they had a rugby guy come on and he basically laughed at the up and coming idea.

So i think in those circles around europe at least, they have known he was going to push this for a long time. But have also presumed that it was far fetched, and not likely.
