Offseason

[Liverbird with Phins up]

After, what I would label a good season, just wanted to thank you all for a good season of Dolphin chatter.

Have a wonderful off season, I for one, now that the Dolphins are out, will take a break from NRL and focus on my beloved Liverpool football club. My first love.

Looking forward to 2027. Progress now will be difficult due to having to make/win a grand final to do so. However, I believe as a club we are set up to succeed, so there will be good times ahead.

Players will come and go, but that youth set up will ensure they arent missed for long, and that any newcomers will be cream on the top.

Congrats to Herbie Farnworth and Selwyn Cobbo on making the Dally M team of the year.

Hopefully next year we can have a couple of forwards in contention as well.

Not quite offseason yet, Redcliffe vs Penrith in the State Championships tomorrow

Team for round 1 according to Courier Mail. I said I was going to lose it if picking Plath on the bench in order for Knowles to start cost us a big game. Well, Plath was picked in the backrow which was even worse than having him on the bench (considering Pouniu and Lemuelu are in the squad) but Roosters were red-hot. I don't think it cost us the game. But come round 1 if Plath is in the backrow or on the bench in order for Knowles to start, I will lose it.

Knowles needs to bulk up a bit in the off season and look to play prop. If Flegler picks up where he left off in trial games, he needs a spell in QLD Cup.

Yeah at this point we probably need to start Plath at lock and then when Donoghoe comes on he takes over at lock and Plath plays in the middle for the rest of his minutes

Obviously lemuelu or pouniu should start 2nd row with the other on the bench depending who deserves it on merit during pre season

Knowles to bench and Flegler gets the first half of the season to see if he can get back to what he as pre injury etc
