I’d be disappointed if I were him too. Buying every player off contract for the last 3 years and with fuck all to show for it. I’d be pretty ticked off with those running the club
Don't listen to him 2 257Matt. Bulldogs are only one more big name recruit away from dominating the NRL, with their superior fitness and all.

But I shouldn't talk too soon. If they win the first few games and Dolphins struggle, he'll be back.

Will he finally be a Dolphins supporter? I think Gus has put the same spell on him, as he has on most others in the NRL world.

Bulldogs are 1-2 decent props away the pathways system is Penrith 2.0 with more cash resources available for Gus to use.

I want the Dolphins to be a dominant force aside from sponsorship they're a long way from the Bulldogs in terms of NRL talent, NRL results, pathways, fan engagement and supporter base.

Now Flegler has received the first sign of hope, with specialists confirming his shoulder is showing signs of recovery in a critical first “checkpoint” to getting back on the field for the Dolphins.
While there are still no guarantees Flegler will play again, Dolphins coach Kristian Woolf remains hopeful his No.1 prop could be back on the field - possibly this season.

“Tom has had some positive news,” Woolf said. “The shoulder is in a positive position.

“Talking to the surgeon, the physios and the other medical staff, at this point what they wanted to see (with the damaged nerve in his shoulder) is showing signs of recovery. “We can’t get too ahead of ourselves and too excited, but the next check point is some time in April.

“They will get a progression report from where his shoulder was in the last test to where it is in April, and then that determines what we can do with ‘Fleg’ after that to keep it progressing. “We have a long way to go, but there are some positive signs after the surgery, which is what everyone was looking for.”

I guess it's positive but I really wanted to read something like, "He's on the mend and will be back later this season."

The signs are good and Flegler's manager is very confident. Just everyone is proceeding with caution and playing down hopes something Woolf is very good at.

Flegler is needed fresh and ready for the second half of the season to avoid the slide.

A very slim one, to be sure. They are unlikely to risk him this year unless his recovery qualifies in the miraculous category

yeah i would say within another threee months we might hear a time frame if we dont yeah maybe not a option this year ( or even for future )

Luckless Queensland Origin star Tom Flegler insists his career isn’t over and has declared he will play NRL again at the Dolphins – possibly as early as this season. Speaking for the first time since “last resort” nerve-transfer surgery last September, former Broncos enforcer Flegler has given the strongest indication yet he will fight back from a career-threatening shoulder injury.

Flegler is rugby league’s forgotten man. It’s been 347 days since the Dolphins prop has been seen in the NRL following a freak shoulder injury that has left his career in limbo. Flegler was trumpeted as the Dolphins’ marquee signing last year after Redcliffe’s $3 million poaching raid on a generational front-rower their derby rivals the Broncos never wanted to lose.

But after missing the Battle of Brisbane following a seemingly innocuous knock to his shoulder against the Wests Tigers on April 6 last year, Flegler has disappeared from the NRL. Flegler saw the first ray of hope last month, with specialists confirming his shoulder is showing signs of recovery in a critical first “checkpoint” to getting back on the field for the Dolphins.

The Flegler podcast with Kevin Walters and Ben Dobbin is a very good one. Normally I can't tolerate Dobbin this one was very good.
