The Dolphins have suffered another crippling blow with marquee recruit Daniel Saifiti ruled out for the rest of the season. Former NSW Origin prop Saifiti will undergo shoulder surgery this week and faces four to five months on the sidelines in a further setback for the Dolphins in their bid to make the finals.

The Dolphins have already lost Tom Flegler and Tom Gilbert to injury and the scratching of Saifiti is another blow to Redcliffe’s forward stocks ahead of Saturday’s clash against the Cowboys. Saifiti injured his shoulder in round 8 against the Raiders. Dolphins medicos have tried to rehab the injury but have decided on season-ending surgery.

Meanwhile, utility forward Max Plath will see a specialist amid fears he needs a knee reconstruction.

If you read the article is says that Plath has been or is going to have an op.

Saifiti, the article says has an MCL, then later in the article suggests he needs a shoulder recon.

Maybe I read it wrong, however its seems online news can make its mind up.

Funny thing is Flegler online news was always off the mark, from what I was being told.

The Dolphins have been decimated by long-term injuries in the forward pack to Flegler, Saifiti, Plath and Gilbert. They could do with some reinforcements. They could create some room by allowing winger Junior Tupou to leave and bringing in the likes of Royce Hunt (pictured) to add starch to their forward pack.
This is false, isn't it? Gilbert has a pec problem, specifically a partial tear, and will be back in the last couple of rounds of the regular season.

could be back may not be back will be 50/50 on his op recovery, i see they changed who they had for us as was trey mooney earlier lol

There was an article the other day from the club where they stated that Gilbert is gone for the year.

Woolf last week addressed Sua injury situation and said Bromwich is 2 weeks away. I hope Allen is placed on dev deal until season end they still have 2 dev spots left. Allen out performed Jackson and Rasmussen yesterday.

would have get a train n trial role which fact he had one last year will be intresting to see what club do ( not many crack it second year after train n trail deal)
