They have 3 locks they got Kurt Mann current origin player, Jaemon Salmon who I don’t rate but he’s loved by Gus & Ciraldo and Finau Latu who they signed from the Dragons junior system.

Charlie is a good prospect and the challenges ahead for Dolphins is creating a clear progression for their juniors into the Top 17. Same with Garton, Nonu and others.

there progression will be up to players to work behind the scenes to get ready , like few guys from juniors that left to go to other clubs , if they were in future plans they be staying same with current crop if not right player to step up some them will go too

It appears they’re all set for Galvin to start at 7. I wrote on my personal FB page that there’s 3 players who are best at centre but don’t play regularly there for their clubs. Bennett has already made the correct call when will Gould and Woolf do the same?

Hammer is better at fullback , his footwork in tight spaces isn’t the best , and he hasn’t got the explosive power required for a nrl centre. Lot better against a broken line with his pace. Look at Herbie and averillo good footwork close to the line explosive power to brush defenders.

Don't forget we have ray stone too. I'd have him start at lock in a wet game at a shit ground, with jyd at 9 and plath at 14 so they can not worry about the ball as much as just getting mean and grinding away an opposition for 80 minutes.

Poor woolfy. This is a hard one to figure out. JYD is still my starting lock and I'll be sad if we lose him.

This is something I've been wondering about. It would depend on the rest of the pack. If Woolf needs points scored, he'd have to go with Kurt D. If he wants good defence, Gilbert. Plath is a mix of the two. I have no idea about Knowles.

Personally I'd probably go with Kurt. Nothing wrong with his defence at all. Doesn't hit as hard as Gilbert but hardly soft either.
 
going be intresting as don't see none of our replacements hookers doing big mins like jmk does so i would suggest we would have bench cover hooker too if thats the case i would think kodi be taking it
 
This is where and the reason I loved Kodi at 14. And signing a marquee 5/8th.

You’re going to get people saying play Kurt at 9. We have tried that, hus distribution is slow and not tight. He is error prone at that level. He is a 13, or 6 at a pinch. If ur putting him up for the 9 a lot you have to be mega desperate.

Plath is in the same mould as Kurt. However, less prone to error on the eye. I’d prefer him over anyone to fill in.

I’m praying for someone to get homesick, and we snap them up at 5/8th.

Otherwise the only other option is Kodi to 9. Averillo to 6 and juggle something in the centres. Only issue there is your changing too many positions, which ruins cohesion.

It’s a tough one. Interested to see what Woolf does.
 
Storm just announced Wishart gone for 2027.

I would hit them up hard for early release for 2026, and hit him up for 27/28.

He is a good 6 and a good 9. Not elite, however he is tough and a lot in the mould of Plath and Kurt, just at 9 or 6

He might turn into a good #9. Though I don't think he was ever on our radar.
