Four players played Mal Meninga Cup in 2024 & got a taste of QCup after the junior reop season ended - Nonu, Waqa, Fineanganofo and Symonds.

15. Elijah McKay - Played Capras U17 Cyril Connell Cup in 2024, moved to Redcliffe for Mal Meninga Cup for 2025 & made 2025 U19 QLD emerging squad turns 18 this year
16. Kilarney Lavender - Played for QLD U17 in 2024, was based at Burleigh, made 2025 U19 QLD emerging squad, signed with Dolphins NRL Academy only 18 this year

24. Charlie Dickson - Academy Player played U17 Cyril Connell Cup in 2024, made 2025 U19 QLD emerging squad only 18 this year

The glaring concerns from last nights trial:

Graham & Teague obviously and unfortunately as both are likable players.

None of the train & trial players put their foot forward.

None of the Queensland Cup contracted players stepped up.

It's more concerning due to the fact Flegler, Fuller and Walsh aren't available for the early rounds.

your way to harsh theres few kids in there that had very little time in cup side few really played good footy give them time and they be better micheal john ellijiah r and Josh had some great touches 3 of that side played in the finial n very few had had started in qld cup or started for dolphins in cup hence theres need to buy fringe players to put in our cup side ) as most wont be ready for few seasons )

the ones that are in our devlopment n 30 go good just give them more game time

Have a look at the Dolphins Top 30 roster on their website and do some research instead of talking down to me
Talking down to you? What? I see. He's a young backrowers. I think I've heard the name before but not sure where. Don't really know who he is or where he comes from. A local junior or an import?

That’s because he’s ex broncos
Walsh is? Wherever he's from, I hope he's good. At this stage, I'd say behind Finefeuiaki, Lemuelu and the one I'm expecting to really kick on this year, Keeley.

There’s not a lot of love for the donkeys on the peninsula
Even in the "heartland", where I live but not where I'm from, so many people are supporting the Dolphins and negative on the Donkeys. I haven't loked at the draw yet but if we are traveling well and they are struggling when we meet this year, and we beat them again, alarm bells are going to be ringing at Red Hill. Suddenly players who "go somewhere to win a premiership" are going to be coming to the Dolphins rather than Donkeys.

I think a lot of people were surprised with where we finished last season but I think we can do even better this season tbh and make the Finals. Our fanbase is larger than most people realize and I think Woolf learned a lot from Bennett and will keep the ship steady as it were.

First post here! American fan since last year(Have a...erm... broken fire stick haha and happened to come across the Dolphins home win against the Tigers) and been a fan since. Special education teacher by trade and also love soccer: Mainz, Crystal Palace, and the Roar just because haha. Want to talk boxing I am your man also.

Thanks!

Mainz because of Jurgen Klopp? Can’t be otherwise you’d support Liverpool’s rather then Palace.

Palace due to the American connections there. Mainz as my ancestors come from there. As far as Liverpool goes, don't care one way or the other tbh haha. Though do hope hang on; anyone better than City.
