What is Woolf trying to do with this team? Donoghoe at hooker isn't doing himself or the team any good. Unless his game has dramatically changed in the off season. Keeley not even in the extended reserves is also interesting. If he injured? Dolphins team: Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow Jamayne Isaako...

I think Wayne tried to turn him into a hooker or at least a utility who can play hooker. But no, that didn't happen. Not his game at all, to put it politely. Seems like a good backline utility. If there are a few injuries in the outside backs, he might find himself in first grade. Otherwise...

If he plays like he did last night a few more times and Hammer isn't going well at fullback, he might. Problem he has is that he's strictly a backline utility. Niko is at home at hooker or fullback or centre or lock.

Woolf will be pleased with the defence.

As the commentators keep saying, "I know it's just a trial" but seriously, Woolf really has the Dolphins up for it while Payton and the Cowboys....... He might be the first coach sacked.

Has Harrison Graham shed a few kgs? Because it looks like he's added quite a bit of speed.

If the Dolphins don't make it:). I don't think Souths or Bulldogs will be in the top 4. I think at least one of the QLD clubs will make it. Maybe even 2 along with Melbourne and Penrith.

No Melbourne in the top 4? I think Melbourne, Penrith, Manly are going to be very hard to beat.

    2025 Squad

Everyone was disappointed but now the dust has settled, I think it was the right call and Newcastle were the better team on the day. A couple of losses which should have been wins earlier in the season turned out to be so disastrous. But at least we beat the Broncos and I think will again this...

PHINS EYE MORE UK BLOOD Another Englishman is on the radar of NRL clubs. St Helens prop Matty Lees has played more than 160 games in the front row for the Super League giants and a handful of Test matches for England. NRL clubs are now circling the 27-year-old as he eyes off a switch to the NRL...

Isn't Katoa a goal kicker? Averillo as well? I don't think Isaako will be left out but not because of goal kicking.

And Averillo dropped? Or Niko back to the bench and Averillo 5/8?

    2025 Squad

Bostock was rookie of the year pushing for Origin selection last year. If anything it'll be Isaako but I think not. I think Isaako and Bostock on the wings.

I see. I actually almost never listen to any podcasts. I really only read Fairfax and News Ltd but only the sport news.

Hasn't it been an unbelievably quiet off season for the Dolphins? All the talk about who the Broncos have to let go and the new coach and Gold Coasts halves dilemma and also NQs halfback dilemma but Dolphins seem to be right up there with Melbourne and Penrith with the settled squad and coach.

Interesting team Woolf is going with. Averillo at No.6, Tupou at 5 is interesting. I don't think any of those forwards will be in the round 1 team. Keeley in particular is and interesting omission.

    2025 Squad

Even in the "heartland", where I live but not where I'm from, so many people are supporting the Dolphins and negative on the Donkeys. I haven't loked at the draw yet but if we are traveling well and they are struggling when we meet this year, and we beat them again, alarm bells are going to be...

Apparently he was a prodigy in the age limited grades but as soon as he hit the open age group, wasn't big enough.

Good riddance to Kerr. Teague is a bit unlucky. If you put his skill and determination in Kerrs body, he'd probably be the best forward in the competition. As is, he just had the wrong body type to match his game. Not big enough. He should have a long and productive career in the QLD or NSW Cup.
