Round 19: Penrith Panthers v Dolphins

TPJ (90 mtrs in 19 mins) definitely stood out. He will be vital in the second half.

Round 19: Penrith Panthers v Dolphins

Dolphins by 2 FTS- Bostock MOTM- Katoa Huge opportunity today with Penrith severely depleted. A victory will go a hell of a long ways in securing their maiden playoff berth.

    Round 19 vs South Sydney.

Dolphins by 6 FTS- Aitken MOM- Fuller. Souths are red hot and the Dolphins need to get back on the winner's board. A massive game for both teams.

    Round 19 vs South Sydney.

As expected, the Hammer and Felise are unavailable due to SOO. Add to that list, JMK, Donoghoe, SOS, Harry Graham, Flegler and Gilbert. The cupboard is pretty bare in a match which is a definite must win.

    2024 predictions.

It's a little ways off but the rd. 26 clash vs the Broncos could be a big one. The result may determine a playoff spot or not. Although, I think the Broncos may be out of contention by then. They are in big trouble. I'm hoping the Dolphins won't be in the same boat.

    2024 predictions.

Have to settle for 14-10 now. But with a lacklustre performance against StG and a season ending injury to JMK, I may have to reconsider some of these predictions. I can't help but to think it is going to be really tough going from here on in.

    Injury and suspension updates

Problem being though is that Donoghoe is suspended for the next three weeks. He would definitely be in consideration if not for the infraction.

    Injury and suspension updates

Plath would be the logical solution as the cupboard is pretty bare. K Bromwich is probably the new lock. None of it is ideal as the season slowly falls apart.

He has already signed a one year extension.

Round 17 vs St George Illawarra

They've been sliding because they are just a second year team with the oldest pack in the comp guided a 20 yo HB. Add to that, long term injuries to their two best forwards, the Origin drain (although limited) and the fact that they are just an average team on paper. But they have graduated...

Round 17 vs St George Illawarra

Worst performance since Rd 1. Had a gale blowing with them in the second half but failed to score a point against substandard opposition. Penalties, six agains and some really bad luck certainly didn't work in their favour. A 7-3 start has been diminished to 8-7 and sliding. Everyone is...

Round 17 vs St George Illawarra

Dolphins by 7 FTS- Nikorima MOM- JMK It will be another close one and a much tougher outing for the Dolphins compared to the last time they met. A win will keep them clear of the plethora of teams sitting in the cusp of the top 8. They don't want to be caught up in that mess.

    2024 predictions.

I've had a look at the remaining schedule and have made a few predictions. I have the Dolphins finishing 15-9 which includes a maiden victory over their cross town rivals. It's all speculation of course and anything can happen but 15 wins will certainly get them into the playoffs but will...

Round 16: Dolphins vs Melbourne Storm

He's been disappointing IMO. He's also very passive with ball in hand. He's succumbs in the tackle very easily. I'm starting to see why the Dogs weren't fussed with his departure. I agree with you about Fuller. He needs to be in the lineup on a regular basis. The sort of x factor that he...

Round 16: Dolphins vs Melbourne Storm

Bostock's early exit proved to be more vital than I thought it would be. But the Dolphins gave themselves plenty of opportunities to win. Lacked polish and a bit of luck. They dominated the stats but fell short on the scoreboard. One thing I did take out of tonight's game. The Dolphins are...

Round 16: Dolphins vs Melbourne Storm

Dolphins the slightly better side but the left hand edge with Herbie and Aitken is a real problem. TPJ looks good, Kenny B, Kodi, Nicholls, Katoa have been outstanding. This game is there for the taking. Just need to shore up those edges.

Round 16: Dolphins vs Melbourne Storm

Dolphins by 4 FTS- Isaako MOTM- Katoa Both teams affected by Origin with a couple big names unavailable. But a win tonight will really make a big statement towards their playoff aspirations. Everyone is waiting for the Dolphins to fade away but this group has a bit about them. A victory...
