Off Topic - Other Games

If the sharks win this week they stay 2 points ahead of us and we are chasing the 4. However if the Bunnies win they close to 2 pts behind us. I think we have 8 pts left this season. I doubt we'll do the roosters (on balance) so if we win the other 4 it puts us on 38.

The sharks run home is Bunnies, Dragons, Raiders, Titans, Eels, Storm. I see the main threat obviously as the Raiders game but the Storm blow hot and cold and could do us a favour. Is they lose to the bunnies and raiders they are on 36 points going into the the Melbourne game. We are 71 points down on difference so it looks like that huge lose will trash our top 4 chance if we end up equal.

The bunnies have a horrible run home after this. Eels, Dogs, Warriors, Titans, Roosters. you'd pick NZ and the Roosters to do them and probably the Dogs if they can sort their shit out like they've done today.

5th looks like our most likely outcome. Bunnies, Knights Dogs and the shit show in townsville are 4 pts down and we would have to have some serious banana skins to drop to 6th.
Storm could have several of their big guns back for the last round. Be out to finish the year on a high note. I hope so anyway.

Top 6 already decided
Panthers Roosters Sharks to determine 1-3
Warriors 4
Dolphins 5
Bulldogs 6

The winner will come from Panthers Roosters Bulldogs

I still think Sharks are flat trackers

Bulldogs are rubbish. Doubt they will make it. Did you see the game last night with the Storm missing Hughes, Munster and Grant?

They are finding ways to win games and now scoring points. I’m more confident about them right now than Dolphins, Sharks or Warriors.

They get Roosters this week without Tedesco and Souths after that with many outs that seals 6th where Gould can finally start resting players.

Crighton at 5/8th is just rubbish.

What that does is make the defense more solid. In attack and his kicking he is wonky as. And his goal kicking is suspect too.

Against the better teams they will get smacked.

They were tested by a bunch of kids

Roosters will probably put 50 on them.

I had high hopes for PNG but their signings so far have been abysmal as far as culture is concerned. Perth have a decent squad if you forget Mal is the coach and if you forget that we had a lot of good culture signings plus Bennet and still struggled. Bears without top dog veterans will fall apart pretty quick, and even quicker without good coaching. However, I suspect the NRL will show it's handy pretty hard to give them favourable calls so they don't look rubbish.

They still have over a year. Perth have a few months.

I have to say i am shielded a lot over here from the off field antics of NRL players. I don't do Social media, I watch the games on the watchnrl app listen to some podcasts etc and all the news i hear is obviously UK based. But from the very little I've heard I wouldn't touch Jarome Luai with a barge pole if you were building a culture. I'd also add Lomax to that.

On a separate note. PNG have signed 3 guys out of the London Broncos who are in the uk championship. My team has played them 3 times this year so i've had a decent look at them.

Gairo Voro (standoff what you lot call 5/8) Finley Glare (hooker/halves), and Morea Morea (fullback) Of this 3 Morea Morea is one i really want to see in the NRL. very Fuller like. Small and very very fast.

They are all PNG nationals?

The Chiefs have made a committment to develop PNG national players. Thats why they have been signed id suggest.

Did Morea Morea used to play in the Cowboys lower grades?

Yea all 3 are PNG nationals.
Gairo Voro, Age 23 born in PNG played for the Hunters until this year when he came to London. Played for PNG last year.
Finley Glare Again 23 born in PNG played for the hunters then London and played for PNG last year.
Morea Morea. Aged 25 born in PNG. Played for the Hunters then spent 25 at the Capras before London this year. played for PNG 24/25.

All 3 have either been in the Full PNG or PNG prime ministers xiii. Jason Demetriou is the PNG and also the London Broncos coach so it makes sense why they moved over here. Other than the weather.
