Recruitment and Retention for 2027

Rumour going around Facebook and now on the Dragons forum is that Kodi has signed with them on a 2 year deal:

Realistically, the moment Williams signed, Kodi was gone despite the coach talking about how he wanted both. I'm not gonna say Coach Woolf made a mistake. 2 ball players inside some big, fast outside backs might be a masterstroke. But Kodi has been good for us. To replace him with a veteran halfback is a bold call.

I was looking through the thread a bit. They don't rate that guy Atkinson at all and his halfback partner is the one and only Kyle Flanagan. I think he'll be an excellent pick up for them if it's true.
 
seems a strange one sign kodi for say two years ( but still have daniel n kade on there books ) for those two years pretty sure they said early in year both weren't getting early released kade n daniel wont want be there if no game time i can se daniel in centres but kade not sure

think that is the case ( both deals drags n bunnies well short of ours n no deal from SL clubs) just on super league sounds like if this deal from nrl dont come in for super league (a lot of good super league players going find there way here ) as most clubs in uk cant pay there big names good money as case with wolves n willams they struggled to pay there players hence a few coming down here for bears also find it odd none of the strong dragon linked nrl journos reporting it hence why bit ho him on it

Maybe but you know what they say about smoke, and there is a lot of it.

I don't know if he'll go to the Dragons but I can't see him staying with us. The moment Williams was signed, I think Kodi was out the door despite the big words by Woolf about keeping both.

smoke from who none of the big names said nothing ( same guy whose been talking on media latched on kodi was joining his brother also )

at likes of dragons hes going be on shit loads lesd than would be here with big play for few there recruits so dont see why he go to struggling club on penuts

That’s why I never pay attention to players or coaches who say they want to stay and it’s all just rumours. The fire is always burning.

Politis is desperately wanting Herbie and he hasn’t rushed to re sign. Once he signed a one year deal for 2027 it was obvious.

Averillo twice shot down rumours he’s gone.

Isaako said he wanted to stay at first and he has signed elsewhere.

Keeley always wanted out didn’t waver in seeking a release sad now because Storm are heading towards very also ran status.

Despite all the talk the sad reality is that Nikorima was out the door as soon as George Williams signed. I still hope the signing doesn’t eventuate and Woolf goes all in with Donga 6 Plath 13 for full 80 and Fineanganofo 14.

lol chocks wont get herbie they going need all the money in the world to keep walker like it was said on radio ( if sam wants over 5 year deal with chock )no way is herbie going play second fiddle i rather get rid of guys to free up cash for herbie than keep guys n loose herbie wouldnt you especailly with tight restraints on cap

I think youre right.

Words to appeal to the fans.

Maybe Kodi wants overs. For him to move to the Dragons, they must be 2 to 300k over what we are offering.

end of day it frees up money for the younger ones lets face it some these guys not getting any younger but we still want keep young ones what gives way hate see young ones go
