I can't understand the recruitment of Williams either. He might have been a gun back in the day but now Katoa is far better.

not the fact that hes far better its the fact, he will complement what we need from a 6 kurt n jake would be there full time if they wanted the 6 and if kodi goes , the young ones aint going be thrown into lions den yet think thats what hes looking at if kodi does decided to go we got back up plan

Williams will play at 6 , he’s there to take the load off Katoa similar to kodi
I know that's the plan but is he any good as a 6? He's been a halfback his entire career.

That would be a question for woolfe . On where he sees him playing, I liked Williams early in his career but not seen him play since he left the nrl. All reports he’s been rubbish, but if woolfe wants him then I’m happy with that. As for playing 6 in the modern game I see no difference in 6/7.

He was very good when he played for Canberra but I've heard he's been going downhill for a while.

Yeah I think the Williams signing is a strange one.

I would have tried for a specialist 6.

I mean there were a few available which would have been at least on par with Williams if not better. I even think T Wishart would have done a good job there for us, and he is only 25 I think.

I havent seen WIlliams playing at 6 in Australia.

If you are talking about him playing 240 games at 6 in England? Then that means nothing to me to be honest.

However, if he has played at 6 for Canberra, my apologies.

However, mr.c, best not throw stones in glasshouses.

Yes he has played them in Australia, and he is a player that has won a comp, and played in a winning system like Melbourne.

Not only would he bring a winning culture/Bellamy attitude, he will we come with the knowledge of what it takes to win. Great dressing room addition as well as filing a much needed spot.

Recruitment is not only about filling gaps on a field, its also about cultural fit, as well as cultural enhancement. Swans did will with the No DICKHEAD policy under Paul Roos. Its something that I support and would want emulated here.

I dont know what WIlliams has won, and I am sure he is a good player. But I think you can acknowledge the upside of someone like Wishart, even if it would be admitting you were wrong for once?

well i think the culture has been great here ,

for one we had hole of our top 6 paid players out for good chunks of the time and we still got in the 8

2 he seems to have all the players he has brought in playiing the same playbook he has and will only continue

3 hes nearly got us to top 8 with a team of bottom 17 players ,

i do aggree with no dickhead policy but all the guys woolf gets been on same page , if woolf wanted williams over other young guys and brought in the young guys from dogs theres a reason and we will see more of it

hence why i dont really give rats what fans thinnk its actions on field i want just let the club n players n coaches do therre jobs

no matter whether george played here at 6 or super league at 6 hes got 240 games at 6 he will know whats needed

He might be a good 5/8 but in the GF when he came on to play centre, I thought he was very ordinary.

What was the name of that dude who was cut loose by the Dogs due to a neck injury? Carl or Karl Olo*******. Has he packed it in and decided to call it a day, just not good enough or something else?

I wouldn't be blindly supporting Woolf judgement right now after the Eli Katoa incident yesterday.

[/QUOTE] the doctors cleared him to play woolfe will have followed procedure and medical advice. So there’s no point speculating
