I wonder if the club is interested in Cobbo. It looks like he really does need to drop a few kgs in order to be a good fullback and probably wants too much money for a winger.
Woolf is a coach who can get the most out of him.

Good. No point coasting along on pure talent you have to actually work at it and i'm afraid i think he is lazy
You could be right.

I thought it may have been the coaching or the dressing room atmosphere.

I held the opinion that maybe a different coach or different leadership playing group, may have lifted him to different levels.

However, after hearing what he wants pay wise, it might be too bigger risk.

At Fullback, there is no doubt there is a player in that body.

However, like Latrell, if he got fully fit, he would crush it. Latrell, could easily go to another level if he was fit as fuck.

Cobbos ball skills aren't as good as Mitchell's. But better than Hammers.

Mitchell, Cobbo and Fifita are 3 of the 4 most naturally talented players in the game today all so lazy when they feel like player they win games on their own. The other is Burton who is very fit just doesn't realise how powerful of a runner he is with his size, speed and footwork but is obsessed with his long & high kicking game.

It would be a huge bonus if he were able to play NRL this year. The door is open for him if he's good enough though it's very hard for props his age. Very few props break into the NRL at his age. Most props don't make it until 22~24.
Chris Chris posted here rather than the NRLQ section as it's now more about other players not in the NRLQ squad.

First of all Elijah Rasmussen who we were talking about originally his selection in the NRLQ team for this weekend finally proves I was right in that he's 20 this year, he was 19 last year as he played Meninga Cup and the profile of him on other pages is another Rasmussen.

I got a big wrap on Rasmussen he's very young and very raw he'll come through.

Did you see Zac Garton, Jac Finigan and Kilarney Lavender in the U19 origin game the other night? All three got potential Garton can cover edge and middle and Lavender dominated the Meninga Cup grand final earlier this year.

Josh Allen right now is in the 22-24 age range and he's getting better every game with Redcliffe. He would be absolute worthy right now to be played onto a 12 month train & trial deal or a development contract where he can train full time rather than part time in the evening as he's currently doing with Redcliffe. Allen in the trial game showed so much raw promise and he's currently more advanced in his game than Jackson, Rasmussen and Symonds who are all around 20-21. One of the big reasons for Redcliffe's good run of form lately has been Allen really growing and developing into his role after such a stop start stop & more stop beginning to the season due to a two match suspension carry over from last year (allowed to play in trials) on top of the wash out round, bye and a weekend off.

Train & Trial contracts don't come off your salary cap or your football department budget aside from NRL match payments and if they end up exceeding 3 NRL games. Props are very hard to find and you need massive depth in that position so stock piling a lot of backup players with Redcliffe, Norths and Capras on glorified train & trial deals is very good.

You can hold a train & trial contract for as long as a club permits. Hola would have had his train & trial deal reactivated to train full-time with the NRL squad. I'll post in the NRL section when I feel like it of another club who's still got a beverage of players on train & trial.

As for George Williams this is a wasted signing he's the same age as Nikorima so no benefit at all unless Dolphins are moving him on a year early. Everything with the Dolphins structure is going to be based around Katoa and a team suited for Katoa as it should be.

The long-term Dolphins 5/8 will or should be one of Donoghoe, Averillo or Fineanganofo. Donoghoe is already emerging as too good to be a permanent no.14 utility plus he works so well with Katoa, Averillo is actually one of my favourites but he doesn't have a long shelf life as a centre and Fineanganofo is a very good young prospect coming through.

and kurt aint it

, as for train n trial clubs have diffrent contracts based on the players needs , most second, year deals tend to lead to a nrl deal very few dont get second year deals without getting a contract , most of those players are devlopment guys

Daily Telegraph now reporting Dolphins trying to offload Nikorima. Do you think this is the right move? I know you're a big fan of Kodi.

Donoghoe has proved you and everyone else on this page wrong on too many occasions. He's gone from in and mostly out of the side last two years to now one of the very first picked. Herbie in his interviews with Joel Gould and Kylie Knight spoke very highly of Donga.

Again train & trials are at the whims of the club I know Fuller's train & trial deal lasted two seasons.

think they not offloading he wants to go hes been looking for options for ages as hes done everythig he can , and still young enough to make impact in uk , and at same time george brings huge skill factor to teach or halfs ( think theres a dangle of coaching career too )

But George seems to me the epitome of a halfback. Kotoa does as well. I'm sure Woolf knows what he's doing.

Someone on our Twitter said Williams is an upgrade on O’Sullivan that’s a positive way to view it all but if for some reason Nikorima wins the no6 jersey Williams is on the first plane home he clashed with Stuart in 2020.

Not Dolphins related but appears Broncos are letting Latrell Seigwalt go and he’s signed two years with Souths

Broncos Mail liked to remind us of a big miss for Dolphins and how Teo pulled off a master stroke hahahahahaha.

I rate Naufahu and Nonu above Seigwalt
