I'm from there but live in West End now. That's my point. It's going to be a massive storm so what they can they do to stop damage to houses that they haven't already done? With of course the families taking up the NRL offer to put them in hotels away from potential danger.

I'm not saying I think they've done the wrong thing..... only that I can't really understand it.

It would be pretty hard to switch on for a game with this in the back of your head. A man will always put his family first. We had the police knocking on our doors yesterday asking us to leave , unfortunately we have nowhere to go so will have to ride it out , would imagine they are in the same boat.

What’s pissing me off is people who aren’t even in the state let alone going to be affected by this calling players and families out.

Broncos love them or hate them have this mentality of all in none out this year and are challenging each other to who trains hardest. Cobbo who's a notoriously lazy trainer and went onto podcasts to say his coach is a "good person" has lost 7kg he's bought into this culture of McGuire.

Dolphins have a couple of players too many close to retirement and you can't have too many middle road journeymen in a club as it creates the culture we're now seeing from a few players. Training got lazy last year with the coach on the way out and players on the way out when just one extra win and one applicable effort gets them into the semi finals they were content knowing they were no where near the top 3 sides.

The Dolphins club and those 3 players are the laughing stock of the other 16 clubs.

This is wooden spoon material. I think we should all come back in 2026 to see if they're serious or just want to be we are in the comp it's okay. Many still expect Dolphins to be like the Crushers or be a club with no soul like the Titans.
 
A squad needs an even balance of players not just in positions but also need to be balanced with elite marquee players, players on the rise, players looking for a chance, clubmen & tradesmen and very few middle of the road & journeymen players who are looking for a quick pay day.

Roosters over balanced in having way too many superstar players which seems odd but every star player wants their hands on the ball. See how they go now they've lost some of the star power had Walker still been there they would have been better balanced.

Dolphins balance still isn't right and I was the lone voice saying Woolf needs to faze out these journeymen players as there's way too many of them still and some in here led by Geoffrey & his fan crew didn't understand or comprehend.

Oddly enough Dolphins are better with O'Sullivan and Kerr in the team. Kerr is better outside the 10m range than Nicholls and O'Sullivan will help Katoa a lot more. The issue for Dolphins is player morale and a split within the ranks these things don't recover overnight. This is something Madge has managed to achieve at the Broncos getting everyone in on what he's doing and this is why not a single Broncos player hesitated going to Sydney knowing there's a chance they won't be home post home for a few days and why the players families all fell into line proactive and profession leadership from Madge and their admin.

This is a spoon year and people are contempt with mediocrity.

Laughing stock, how do you come to that comment. The broncos got a gf and missed the 8 and got lapped in plenty of games. And now because they have a new coach everyone is licking there arse. Let’s see if a leopard can change its spots when there in against storm / panthers when it’s tough. And to be honest I wish you would leave and come back in 26

lmao thing is , woolf knows how get best out players you were the one that was vocal saying , the goat left us last year , so who was coaching side wolf ( ffs with lot of old heads in our side we actually went really good in comp we brought in some more experience got gilbert

whats your coaching level. have you got or your got , sitting on the couch coaching, see this is the thing i, like lot of fans dont need , be saying where the coach went wrong before season starts ffs ( thats pretty disrespectful )


this club is third year of the comp ffs we allways going be building on each year and each 30, season by season i see nothing in you been a fan bar your love for player you obviously love way to much

I agree with that but I said right from the first message on the subject, all families should of course take up the NRLs offer to be moved to hotels in a safe place. If it wasn't for that, of course they wouldn't play. Also if being at home or not was going to be significant but I don't see why it would be. If they are in any danger, they shouldn't be at home anyway. Them being home or not isn't going to stop a flood.

That's the way I see it anyway. Not against them sitting out the game but don't understand what the fuss is about if they and their families are out of harms way. I think it would be better for all involved if the families took up the NRLs offer. Emergency services are already going to have enough to do.

Fair enough. What can their presence at home do to stop the flood? To take care of their families? WTF are their families still doing in harms way?

Peter Mulholland who was the premier recruitment guru back in his day once said you need a balance in the squad and if you have too many journeymen players you're in trouble and this is the Dolphins issue too many journeymen style players where they're just happy to collect a final pay cheque or bounce around for a payment.

It's funny I said weeks ago and got shot down by the Geoffrey crew that Woolf needs to move on from the journeymen players the quicker he does this during the season the better for 2026.

Once there's disunity within the ranks and not everyone going the same way it's all over for the year ahead.
 
Michael McGuire showed last night how he's got the Broncos completely zoned in, it's an all in none out mentality, it's a badge of honour to vomit into the bucket and players challenge each other to do extras after training ends. Canterbury learned last year to get to Penrith's level of training and Broncos are taking it to a new level. Everyone is on the same page and the scary part about last night is they should have won by a lot more Roosters won't be the only side to concede 50 to the Broncos this year.

lol yet we only just mised the top 8 with them in our second year lmao journeyman are the guys that put in the hard yards go look at the stats on our older guys , and realise they stack up with all the other sides older players all sides have them cant all have high end players or juniors ffs
