In the likely event of a Aus vs NZ final, as assuming Ponga is fit to play, it's going to be like an Origin game. Allowing NZ heritage players to play for QLD or NSW and NZ was definitely a good move. Test match league is a thing again.Quite a fun slate of games today
Obviously England vs Wales women won't be close, but I could see France giving the PNG women a game despite knowing nothing about the French girls since PNG suck and on the mens side Lebanon are competitive on paper with PNG here and have shortened a ton despite being underdogs still and obviously England vs Tonga should be competitive
I like Tonga to get the job done this time despite their bad form last year against Samoa etc and I think Lebanon are going to give PNG a game
They are saying Ponga will likely be back for the final if NZ make it.Ponga is prob out for the World Cup with the injury
I think anyone should be eligible to play for QLD or NSW if they played any junior football in the state personally, if you've played before you graduate high school or before you turn 18 that should be enough it's pretty harsh Herbie for example isn't eligible for QLD when he moved to QLD at age 14 and in theory we should want the best possible players representing QLD/NSW as well as NZ Tonga Samoa England and the other countries etc
Interesting 1h in this game, Lebanon were hopeless and are definitely cannon fodder for Tonga next week, but the intercept right before the half has them within a try despite being awful for the first 30 mins
PNG lots of go forward and the forwards from Lebanon have been awful, but PNG's poor execution in attack means they're only up a try when they should probably be up at least two or three tries
Expecting PNG to win by 12-18 or so off what we saw in the first half but this could be anything from a Lebanon outright win if they can get some good field position since PNG's defence is let's say iffy to PNG by lots if they dominate field position again with the wind behind them
Also lol at how slow Tony Francis for a winger, it's such a waste he has a lot of traits of an NRL level winger but he is the slowest moving winger i've ever seen especially considering he isn't fat.
really wellDidn't see the game. How did George Williams play?
Pretty sure Herbie moved after finishing his GCSE's which would make him 16 as they are at the end of year 11 in the uk so end of uk summer (2016) meaning he would have arrived at the broncos in sept/oct 16 . but i agree he is definiately the product of the broncos system.Ponga is prob out for the World Cup with the injury

I think really well is pushing it. well is about right. I said before and it holds true the group has been set up to spare Englands embarrassment. They will not play Samoa and only the top 2 teams go throug. Tonga play Samoa later on.really well
ceriainly played better than smith really dont see what all the hype is on that kidI think really well is pushing it. well is about right. You'd imagine Samoa win all thier games they go top of the group. England win all their other games with decent scores they go second on points difference.
Tonga then play Samoa, so if Samoa win Tonga are out having lost 2 if Tonga Win they are top and its between Samoa and England for Second but you'd imagine the Samoa Tonga game will be closer so England through on points difference. Its a disgustingly soft draw to have England get to the semi finals.
