Apart from Herbie, are there any other England players Aus need to worry about?
The utlimate threat is Herbie inside of Dom Young. That could destroy just about anyone. The issue is they'll never get the bloody ball. The pack is smaller than normal apart from the second row, this could be a result of learning lessons last year and a ploy to address playing in heat and the faster ruck speed. However there is very little punch forwards.

One to watch and this guy will likely be on the radar of many an NRL scout is Junior Nsemba from Wigan. 1.95m 105kg only 22. very much in the mould of Dom young. and Kai Pearce Paul, KPP would be sharing the second row with him which is a thought.

He'll be their starting lock. He loses his Politis privilege playing for England so suspended after game 1.
Or dropped.

That's a pretty decent core. Considering they have George Williams. Who is their hooker and halfback? Are they any good?

Mikey lewis in the middle but he is having a shocking season, awful form and bad discipline. Shocked he got picked to be honest. Jez Litten will be starting 9. Quality player

V'Landys is controlling the World Cup he'll have Australian referees for Australian games. Australia will win.
NZ's best 17 if I were their selector:
  1. Kalyn Ponga (Newcastle Knights)
  2. Ronaldo Mulitalo (Cronulla Sharks)
  3. Casey McLean (Penrith Panthers)
  4. Dane Gagai (Newcastle Knights)
  5. Jamayne Isaako (Dolphins)
  6. Kodi Nikorima (Dolphins)
  7. Jahrome Hughes (Melbourne Storm)
  8. Moses Leota (Penrith Panthers)
  9. Jeremy Marshall-King (Dolphins)
  10. James Fisher-Harris (c) (New Zealand Warriors)
  11. Isaiah Papalii (Penrith Panthers)
  12. Erin Clark (New Zealand Warriors)
  13. Joseph Tapine (Canberra Raiders)

  14. Naufahu Whyte (Sydney Roosters)
  15. Xavier Willison (Brisbane Broncos)
  16. Briton Nikora (Cronulla Sharks)
  17. Leo Thompson (Canterbury Bulldogs)
  18. Te Maire Martin (New Zealand Warriors)
  19. Scott Sorensen (Penrith Panthers)
I guess Halasima must play for Tonga or Samoa.

This year our local team has adopted a wheelchair side, the wife and i have gone to alot of games to watch and its actually really good to watch. In Bold 4 players and 1 coach all from our team. Lee Sargent is only a young guy about 21 and looks like he weighs less than the ball but makes alot of big breaks due to rapid acceleration. Also in the Wales team is the uncapped John Berriman who plays for York. Sadly he got HIA'd in his game against us but i had a chat after and hes a really pleasant guy rapid fast and good playmaker.

Surely they should have Wales, Scotland and England playing as one team.

Halasima is in the Tonga squad I believe

I actually think they can beat England, they're a big light on the 6 and 9 in terms of quality but beyond that they have a fantastic side

They do have to find a way to not pick Sione Katoa on the wing given their options, I feel like it has to be a combination of Toia, Halasima centres and Jojo and Alamoti probably on the wings then I assume Lehi at FB and Koula at 6 although DWZ and the Fainu are options there too

Soni Luke at hooker by default is a weakness but their pack and second row can match it with Aus/NZ/Samoa for sure

Would be nice to see Izzy take them on a deep run this world cup starting with a win over England. Herbie and Young is a dangerous combo and England have good structure usually but their pack is probably going to get absolutely smashed by Tonga so I think Tonga should get it done if they play better than whatever last year was, I was at the Samoa game and that was utterly horrible by them but their side is a bit better now.

Nice to see a lot of Dolphins playing world cup football for a bunch of different sides.

Hammer, Connelly, Molo (Samoa), Isaako, JMK, Niko, (NZ), Izzy, Finn (tonga) Bostock (aus) Herbie, Knowles (England) Donga, (Fiji).

It is a pretty good representation. Samoa for me are a definate favourite to make the final again

Samoa vs NZ?

Samoa vs NZ?
Its still geared up for and Aus NZ final. the top two in that group go into different semi finals which means Aus or NZ losing to either Cook Islands or Fiji to miss out. Assuming England get out of the group. which means either Tonga or Samoa don't then the Semi finals are pretty standard historically. If and there is a chance England crash out in the pool stages and both Tonga and Samoa go through then who knows.

Its been badly seeded but basically Samoa and England will only play if they both reach the final. I can honestly say i think this is to save Englands blushes.
