A few problems at least for the first game.
  • Mahony and Ben Hunt are very inferior replacements for Grant.
  • If Ponga declares himself a Kiwi and Walsh is out, who will be the fullback?

I know that bench is very light but both Gilbert and Cotter play in the middle. Otherwise Dearden to come on at hooker and Mahony drops out? Dearden seems too good to leave out of the team. Maybe Dearden to come on at hooker and Fotuaika to come onto the bench?
 
Ponga has to be fullback
Coates first winger picked IMO
Mann has to be in the 17
Fifita and Nanai not in good form

If Tom Trbojevic is fit, he'll be one of the first picked. Crighton might miss out unless he can play on the wing.

It seems Walsh is certain to miss game one. I don't know what's going on with Ponga.

Why not Crighton (C), Curren (VC), Kiraz winger, Sexton halfback, Burton 5/8, King prop and Salmon on the bench?
 
I retract on Luai and having Turuva as a distant backup for injuries.

A few Sydney based podcasts are pushing for Kerr to be on the bench for the Queensland.

Kerr had better think about trying to remain on the bench for the Dolphins.

After yesterdays game, it'll be hard to leave out Mitchell Moses if he's fit. Is he a better halfback than Cleary?

Moses is the best Origin halfback in the current game.

Moses has to be NSW halfback and whoever is 5/8 has to work around Moses.

It's not as if Cleary is useless. I just think he's the second best halfback after Moses.

Or are you going to tell us Sexton is better🤡?

Sexton is a Queenslander :)

I actually rate Sexton wanted Dolphins yo sign him when O’Sullivan and Milford went down and he was out of favour at Titans. Hindsight I’m glad they didn’t for Dolphins sake as spot 30 a couple weeks later was given to a real goer from Wynnum.

Katoa is no.3 in NSW although I work with someone who swears by Nicho as elite hahahahaha

Hynes is a good NRL player. Origin has proven a bit beyond him.
