Round 4: Dolphins vs Brisbane Broncos

Kurt Donoghoe and Max Plath are very good and adaptable players. The hamstring issues in the pre-season for Donoghoe came at the wrong time as he's been very injury free until now after all the injuries with JMK.

When both Donoghoe and Plath are available Kristian Woolf has said very openly and quoted that both will be in the 17 and two of the first players picked in any Dolphins team.

The best dummy half in Cup this season been Jordan Plath by many miles.
Plath was our best 2 years ago and Kurt D was last year.

Kurt was a disaster as a hooker under Wayne. Wayne gave up on him as a hooker. Woolf didn't. He shocked me but how much he had improved as a hooker last year. I think he's almost a perfect back up hooker to give JMK or a "real" hooker a rest. Plath is only good as a back up for a back up as a hooker.

Kurts best position for mine is 13. It allows him to use his halves experience and ball playing, combining that with his toughness in defense.

Hr has an error and prnalty in him. Erase that and hr csn br anything

His best is 13 but last year, I thought he was a very good back up hooker. Though yeah, definitely not his best position. That's what makes him so valuable. He must be the best utility player in the competition even if lock is his best position.

Absolutely he's a 13 or 6 with the ability to cover all other positions bar prop. Very valuable player for the Dolphins hence why Woolf has said on numerous occasions he will be in any Dolphins 17 whilst he's the coach.

I can't remember what I predicted last week but pretty sure it wasn't close to as much as the margin turned out to be. So no more caution this week.

Yes Josh love the positivity, let’s smash the donkeys. Hopefully my tv is working at camp after the cyclone and I can watch it.

Another chapter tonight concerning the Battle of Brisbane. It has been a one sided matchup thus far (5-1 Broncos), but that will change in the coming years.

The Broncos finally woke up during the second half v Melbourne, but they are still a side with some deficiencies and not helped by the omission of Haas, who is a massive loss. If the Dolphins display some of that form from last week, it will be another mismatch. I'm tipping that it will be somewhere in between.

FTS- Plath
MOTM- Herbie.

TBH, this Broncos team completing at over 90% and only 10-6 up should give our boys a lot of confidence.
