Round 4: Battle for Brisbane vs Broncos

A big game tonight for obvious reasons. A cross town rivalry in a match where the home team are in desperate need of a win. It will be played in very wet conditions adding further intrigue.

The Broncos are nothing special. I'm still trying to work out if they are any better than last year. If they are, it's minimal. It won't shock the shit out of me if the Dolphins spring an upset here. But, they'll have to show a hell of a lot more than what has been displayed thus far.

I wouldn't have given Dolphins a chance but after last nights game......

Though Broncos being without their main playmaker and then losing his backup before halftime would help.

When we flogged them last year , tpj went after Payne has early and scared the shit out of him . Similar tactics will be required tonight.

I say it with no confidence. Herbie and Saifiti are the only 2 in the squad who haven't let anyone down.

Never said Nicholls or anyone, I was merely stating what happened last time. And a similar effort from a forward is needed.

Basically the same team which has been really bad over the last 3 rounds vs a red hot Broncos?

Actually agree with Matt on donga being a good player but I think he just needs to play one position and stick to it. Woolfie apparently knows Plath is better in the middle but plays him on the edge because our edges aren’t up to standard. Confusing to me why he’d bring in Bromwich for Keeley tho.. Don’t think we will win this, only based on recent form but happy to be proven wrong
 
Woolf looked happy up there. Can't understand why he would be. Falling off tackles far too easily. In dry conditions we'd be getting flogged.
 
God I love that. Flagrant high shot, he'll be suspended for 2 or 3 weeks, but just put on report and Bostock forced off..... Absurd. If it awas Kaufisi he would have been sent.
 
I didn't notice what Gilbert did for that Staggs try. Stayed back on the line from where there was no way he was going to stop Staggs. Is he really unfit?

He should be binned for the first 10 min of the second half according to Ennis. New rule I didn't know about.

Unpopular opinion but I think our middle defence looks a lot better with Stone and Nicholls on. KBrom has added a bit n attack as well
 
Winning is out of the question now. So Woolf needs to try Hammer in the centres, Donoghue fullback, Averillo needs a rest.
 
Niko has been good for the last 2 years and the first few rounds but doesn't it sometimes look like he just isn't a natural No.6? His best position is a bench utility.
 
TBH, bit of a bludger of a game. Dolphins attack is terrible and Broncos making a lot of mistakes.
