Judging from the last game, the worst I've seen, I can't tip us to win this with any confidence.

But if Melbourne (without Harry Grant) beat Roosters (without Sam Walker) on Friday, we will be playing for a top 8 spot on Sunday.

The following week is Canberra. If Melbourne beat Broncos on Thursday, Canberra will probably be playing for the minor premiership on Sunday.

Though there is also another scenario. Melbourne beat Roosters and Broncos on Friday and the following Thursday. Canberra lose to Wests Tigers so they will have nothing to play for at all in the last round. Win, lose or draw they will finish the minor premiership second. In that scenario I think all the top 8 will be very glad to see the Roosters miss out.

A lot needs to go our way. After the disgraceful performance on Sat, I can't say we deserve to play finals. It's interesting when the wheels fell off. It wasn't when most of the forward pack was ruled out for the season but when Bostock and then Herbie went down. Speaking of Herbie, won't the Canberra game be 6 weeks since he did his hamstring? As far as I remember, he was going to be out between 6~8 weeks.

Very much doubt we will see Herbie unless we make the finals. For this year of course.

You put too much stock into these depth/journeyman/fringe players. My bet is that Feagai is released during the off season.
nothing to do with max ( hes not the reason, for rest of the backs not tackling ) we only going have one back tackling if someone doesnt step up or we just see jake under same pressure )

Feagai wasn't just dropped from the 17 but even from the reserves. Seems the coach was just as frustrated with him last week aa we were.

they wouldnt be carrying back on unless back was injured still

and its going be same again jake will be the only one doing the tackles in the backs ( and talking more than 10 tackles)

no use blaming one player when backs aint doing job on defense ( again this week if only jakes doing the bulk of the tackling we be leaking points )

It's not a question of how tackles backs are making but how many they are missing. Haven't looked at the stats but I'd guess Feagai missed about 50% or more.

Feagai made 12 tackles and missed only 2. Isaako had a rough day with 2 tackles with 4 missed. Jamayne struggles to make the side next year with Cobbo arriving. Feagai won't even be in the picture.

Must be misleading. If the player ran straight past him, does it count as missed? But if Isasko didn't have runs on the board Feagai doesn't have, I'd have been baying for him to be banished forever from the Dolphins NRL side as well.
