Round 23: Dolphins vs Brisbane Broncos

You are just trying to denigrate him to better justify sticking with the ridiculous idea your favourite player, Stephen Crighton is the best centre. Herbie is a way better centre. Second best is probably the Penrith winger McClean. Mitchell is also way ahead of Crighton on the rare occasion he isn't injured.
he just needs to worry bout his beloved dogs they loose three they gonelol with choocks bunnies panthers yeah good luck lol

  • I think Knowles is seriously good but I look at the first 4 on our bench and still have no idea why Woolf signed him. At least from the point of view of having a winning team. Obviously they have a personal relationship. If he helps bring home a premiership everyone will say I was wrong to doubt Woolf but who are e going to lose due to signing Knowles?
  • Unpopular opinion. Bostock is a better winger than centre. Though with him, Cobbo and Isaako, one has to play centre because all 3 need to be in the team.
  • Nothing unexpected about this team. Need to go in hard and hopefully put a record score on them.

You should be cheering for the Dogs this weekend should Chooks lose to Bulldogs which they will and Penrith very 50/50 it will put Dolphins should they overcome two bogey sides in the next two weeks level pegging when they meet in a few weeks time. Only one side has ever won a premiership from outside the top 4 in the top 8 era so Dolphins need to make the final 4.

Dolphins have no 'bogey sides' though I wouldn't mind seeing the Dogs sneak into the finals. Cannon fodder for us. Though doesn't make any difference really. To make the GF we are going to have to get past Roosters or Penrith. That is the mountain to climb. Dogs are a speed bump.

All we need to do is turn up. We've beaten better teams with a half hearted performance. I don't care about a point shoot out. Id rather we see our boys fired up and burying them in tackles, then carting the ball into the line as hard as they can.
It would be so satisfying to put a big score on them.

Who really knows about next year let alone in 2 or 3 years but as of right now, it seems we are on the move while they are going nowhere fast.

I seriously don't rate the halfback Pezet. Has Brodie Croft written all over him. I alao think Billy Walters was given a new deal due to his dad. While god knows why they extended Ben Hunt.

No, I think the only way they are moving is from second last to last.

It won't change the view of hardcore supporters but might bring a lot of local kids over to our side.

Not only extend hunt but sign dane gagai. Then they still have glass Reynolds on the books. Absolutely crazy.

Broncos will be fired up to try and stop us getting a top 4 spot.

A huge game incoming. A victory tonight will clinch a maiden playoff berth and will mathematically eliminate their cross town foes. Strangely enough, the Fins only previous success v the Broncos, a 40-6 thumping in '24, knocked them out of finals calculations as well.

On paper, this should be a mismatch. The Broncos are sitting in 16th in win pctg (15th on 🪜). They are second last offensively and have the fifth worst defensive record. They are dead last in metres gained and have lost 10 of their last 11. The Dolphins are on a 10-2 run and are top 5 in most categories, but are vulnerable nonetheless. If the Dolphins score a couple early, they will most likely run up a score v this woeful Bronco side. A loss is the worst case scenario and will put a serious dent on any success in the playoffs. But, the Dolphins will prevail tonight on class alone and will continue to set their sights on that elusive top 4.

If we embarass them, it might do them a favour by forcing them to sack McGuire. It doesn't take long for him to rub people the wrong way.

I'm going to be cautious regardless.
