Round 2: Dolphins vs Gold Coast

I have to question what the fuck is going on in training.

They are shit in defense, they show no discipline.

In attack they aren't combining, and are looking like a team of individuals.

I know its the first two games, but we are showing signs of going backwards as a team.

The other worrying thing. In the first 3 halves of football, Woolf's signing are the worst players of all. Which makes me worry about his eye for talent. Winning in the ESL is one thing, the NRL is a whole different story.

This needs to turn around and fast.

Last week it was the defence, this week it's the attack. Still confident we have the tries in us to win.

Its only not the defence this week because we are playing a side without Campbell and with Illias in the halves.

Dont let the lack of points against fool you. The Titans arent the best, and our defence isnt sound at all.

I am frustrated, and I know where you are coming from.

However, in the first 3 halves of football. You cant deny that we look uncoached.
It's true but I just think it's a good indication of how important a good dummy half is. Right from the second tackle, Plath's pass to Finefui of about 2 metres was up behind his shoulder. I don't mean to criticise Plath. I'm a big fan. But he's definitely not a dummy half. Schniders first pass from dummy half looped right over a Dolphins players head and bounced up for the Titans.

With the attacking players we have, really should've scored a try or two in that passage of play.

Titans weren't bad. Not in the first half anyway. A lot of offloads and hard running, making metres. In the second half Herbie and Hammer cut them to pieces.

Next round vs the Sharks if Kurt D isn't back, and I think JMK is still 3 or 4 weeks away, I think Woolf has to go with Kodi at #9. Plath is a good player but only suitable to play dummy as an emergency for 10~15 min to give Kodi a rest. Schnider can be one of the 6 on the bench but not come unless for an injury in the halves.

3 Hammer- 314m, T, LB, LBA.
2 Finefeuiaki- 215m, T, LB, TA, 34 Tck.
1 Gilbert- 134m, 43 Tck (0 missed).

Plenty of work still to be done, but I'll take the two points in a game where they looked dead and buried. The Flegs injury is a major concern. Cobbo, Plath, Stone and Knik also had good games. It will take a few weeks for this team to hit their strides.
