Has there been any word on Saifiti? Injury ward has him listed as Round 11 boost, but has not featured in the reserves or in/outs for the last couple of weeks, and not in the TLT this week. I wonder if the shoulder is worse than initially advertised on the post-game press conference....

Dolphins team:

  1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow
  2. Jamayne Isaako
  3. Jake Averillo
  4. Herbie Farnworth
  5. Jack Bostock
  6. Kodi Nikorima
  7. Isaiya Katoa
  8. Francis Molo
  9. Kurt Donoghoe
  10. Felise Kaufusi
  11. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki
  12. Tom Gilbert
  13. Ray Stone
  14. Harrison Graham
  15. Mark Nicholls
  16. Josh Kerr
  17. Connelly Lemuelu

Is it possible at least Saifiti will be a late inclusion? He was supposed to on the verge of coming back last week.
You can only pick from the 22

No, and watching NRL360 they didn't mention he was out either.

Bit of a mystery

What was it he did again? I remember Flegler. He was at first touch and go to miss even one week.
It was a hamstring, wasn't it? Recovery time is very difficult to predict.

Could have really used them for this week. That's certain.
I'm nervous with who the NRL have appointed to this game I can see a lot calls going the Warriors way to continue the Up the Wahs fairytale.

MoM: Katoa (he's starting to become a safe bet. Need a massive game from someone, like Herbie, to beat hIm for MoM)
First try: Bostock

This would be a huge win in the context of the season going into the Origin period where we will probably only have Gilbert if that, out. Then a bye. We might emerge from the Origin period entrenched in the top 8, shooting for top 4. Who would've predicted that after the first few rounds?

  • Dolphins by 10
  • First try - Averillo
  • MoM - Gilbert

Don't know why we are so confident. We're sitting in 12th and have only won 1 of our last 3, barely beating the bottom side last week in a cripple fight. They are 2nd and flying on a four game winning steak and have won 7 of their last 8 with a severely depleted side. They are starting to get back to full strength with RTS,JFH and DWZ all confirmed ins for them this week. They will be fielding their strongest side of the year against us whereas we are still fielding a weakened pack. Our last 2 losses we've been bashed physically by two huge packs (Canberra and Chooks) and are coming up against another big side this week. Doesn't matter if we have better backs if our pack gets bullied again.

I get confidence from the game I watched last weekend, Warriors vs Dragons. Dragons were clearly the better team but with Kyle Flanagan in the halves along with a 19 year-old, lack the ability to close out tight games. We have no such problems and therefore, personally I'm tipping a Dolphins win. But would be much better if he had Saifiti available.

Gotta beat the Warriors because there isn’t a hope of beating the Bulldogs next week

Another big game as far as the context of the season goes. In fact, it may possibly determine where this team is headed this year. NZ have won the battle up front in the majority of their games but it hasn't really converted to scoring points. But, unlike traditional Warrior sides, they have been very stingy defensively thus far. But, if the Dolphins backline fires, they can rack up a score. But, I'm envisioning a fairly tight scoreline.
