I don't think Kurt can play 80 min at #9 so I guess #19 will be used. I don't like Gilbert in the backrow. He seems to be a middle forward to me. Also whoever predicted this team missed Kaufusi.

Donga had the best 1.2km run time and played big minutes last year. I suspect with his run time he is even fitter this year. I think he will be fine.

As for predicted team, saifiti is still out I think, so the props will probably be molo and Gilbert/kaufusi to start with flegler on the bench for a few rounds till he gets a roll on.

As for the bench we need more middles than that there. Flegler, Stone, and whoever misses out from Gilbert/Fuss should be there, with Keely maybe.

I'm also a stone man, so stone should be 13 if donga is 9 with Knowles on the bench in the middle.

It's not ideal but Stone could play dummy half for 10~15 min to give Donga a break though I guess the coach had Schneider playing there in the trials for a reason.

Forgot molo was out.

And was gonna comment that the middle seems light, but with donga at 9 I suspect Knowles at 13 is just playing 80 minute prop, and we know donga at hooker isnt gonna let attackers through, so the middle, despite being unorthodox, might just be fine.

I still maintain donga plays 80. Possibly the fittest at the club and hard as nails plus another pre season done. At no point last year do I remember seeing him gassed.

lol he played very few games over 70- 80 mins so of course hes not going looked gassed , and been a converted half he shouldn't be as wouldn't be carrying excess body wieght like others just keep on keeping on for you may love for him
