Recruitment and Retention for 2027

I have no issues with him as a player. He will do well, the only issue for him along with any player is how will he fit in. I was pointing out the lack of confirmation is more likely because of waiting the outcome of his surgery than Wolves holding it up. Its well know over here he is leaving Wolves at the end of the season and has been for ages.

You pointed out Wolves were not going to allow him to leave until they sign a replacement. He is out of contract in November and doesn't need their permission.
its got nothing to do with the injury mate they annouced it way before that injury and like they said in media few weeks later wolves wanted two things for him to see out contract and till they had replacement ( which there first one fell through ) in kodi so if that means hes back playing in september then so be it ( not one uk media has said hes retired or they waiting on his surgery to make his next move ) if there was a big chance he was going be medicailly retired phins would of announced a replacement especailly since his surgery was last week ( and succesful) woolves people once again reading to much into it

The only issue I have is his underwhelming stint at the Raiders. Add to that Kodi is a great foil to Katoa, and combining well.

I feel you need to go elite if your going to replace Kodi, not replace him with someone that was underwhelming in the NRL before now.

I feel it might be a step sideways or backwards.

If he was a youngster that could grow with Katoa, making it a halves pairing to build around, i could get on board. Or if he was a 5/8th specialist to bridge a gap. He is none of that.

All that considered im hopeful ill be wrong. He comes out here and kills it and we win our second comp with him, this year being our 1st.

I might have bren slightly harsh. Im sure he can do a job at 5/8th while we wait for our 5/8th target, whom im hoping we are forward planning for monitoring their end of contract period.

There are a number of issues though his last stint was quite a while back the game has changed. Plus its possible the raiders just didn't suit his game. You watch football how many times do you hear of a player lighting up the league who then gets transferred and drops off the face of the earth because it was the system and style of play that unlocked them and the new team just doesn't work for them.
