That wont make a difference, Qld juniors, young fellas, wont leave Qld and their families/lifestyle for NZ if there is an opportunity with a Qld club. They will only get the players that Qld clubs don't want. (NZ Poly players at a pinch, but even they love it here, non NZ poly players - same as above)

I am not concerned at all.
I think Warriors are also not concerned with poaching talent from QLD at all. They are only concerned with keeping as much local talent as possible. I saw an article in the Courier Mail the other day demonstrating how league is growing extremely rapidly at the expense of union in NZ.

Yeah that's correct RU is getting nervous and the article featured Dolphins poaching Tevita Naufahu from the RU system.

It stands to reason that with so many rugby players. The growth in other sports would be massive with a slight drop off. I agree. With the pool of talent i would think it was a waste of money spending it elsewhere. Just grab them from your backyard. Especially in relation to uprooting youngsters to a different counrty. The strike rate of hitting a quality player would be low for the money outlayed.

the big thing warriors face the skill level of guys that just play league over guys that played rugby is huge just look at the juniors that come through from rugby in other clubs , been in good rugby schools to get good training , very few colleges in nz produce strong league players ,if they are good thwy get thrown in the good league school systems in aus you just need go to college footy games here in nz and spot the tallent scouts

Though the population is less than SE QLD. But still, you'd think they have more than enough talent to fill out one NRL squad.
