So thoughts? they are denying it was deliberate but i can't believe that at this level he didnt' know what was going on. What with the water on the ball and other incidents in the last few seasons the Panthers are starting to looking the the New England patirots and Deflate gate.


Perhaps the ref should have the power to award the pentaly 2 points for interfereing with the kick that would certainly stop this sort of thing. Yes i'm aware it wasn't a doen deal and the 2pt goal was hard and could have gone wrong but that kick being sucessful would have made the panther go for the line and been a different game.

Maybe I am naive, but I get the impression he had a brain explosion, I don't think he did it to mess with the kicker. I think he just fucked up. However, that's just an opinion I can say for sure.

I think there was a 50k fine issued by the NRL. Which I think is about right. If you add the shot in front, I think you have that sorted.

If it was just a one off thing, I'd say it was an accident but Penrith trainers have a long history of antics like this.

And that is the point. They are all one offs all accidents. At one point does it fail the smell test and actually look like a briefed set of actions.

True but that doesn't help the titans or the ladder. I think as mentioned above get a free rekick In font of the sticks for kick interference. Only a minor tweak to the rules and would hardly be used but would certainly stop any silliness.

Re taking the kick from in front would have been justified but going forward punishing trainers would be so arbitrary.
